"It was a good experience. Some minor details would’ve made the experience 5 stars. For instance, arriving at the property at 4 pm there was a guy cutting the lawn. So That was a bit annoying. I wished the desk of the house including the table and chairs were cleaned. I understand there are made for the outdoors but you would see if they were recently cleaned which was not the case! "We had a wonderful girls trip at the Slow Go. It was a little tricky to find, as the entrance isn’t immediately visible especially in the dark but once we got familiar with the surroundings it was no problem! The property was lovely, great fire pit, well-stocked and comfy cabin. Being close to the highway meant it got a bit noisy at times but not bad at all. The host was wonderful to communicate with when we had to troubleshoot a situation with the lock and fixed it right away. Would recommend...

"A lovely house in a very nice and quiet location. The house was very clean, spacious and well decorated. We had everything we needed. It was conveniently located for the places we wanted to visit. The recommendations from the owner were very good. The kids loved the mini golf and the Splash park in Parksville. We also visited Coombs, Horne Lake caves and Englishman river Falls. It was nice to be so close to the Little Qualicum Falls, we could even go to swim. A very lovely place"

"Beautiful and quiet country property. The barndominium was gorgeous! Uniquely beautiful & artistically decorated throughout. The kitchen was large, functional and very unique with pebbled backsplash and driftwood pot hangers. As was the bathroom. Beautiful pebble shower walls, floor and backsplash. Very comfortable bed for a great night's sleep. Very comfortable livingroom with cozy woodstove. The deck overlooking the meadow was a beautiful spot to start and end the day. "

"Very nice cabin, could accommodate family with kids. Close to beach, but view obstructed by row of smaller cabins directly in front. Close to Salish Market in Bowser, and also Qualicum Beach. Good amenities, kitchen well appointed for cooking, grilling, baking. Very pleasant stay."

"This property was clean, well kept, bed was comfortable, little kitchen was well equipped and excellent. Be prepared to jiggle the door lock - it did work and then we got the hang of it!Also, as they mention there is evening noise - not loud, just a bit of walking back and forth.We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again!The surrounding forest is beautiful, and the view is lovely."

"Once a year my adult sons take a Friday and Monday off and we go for a long weekend fishing. This is the first time going to Sproat Lake. The accommodation was terrific overall…very easy to find, very clean, well equipped and had a nice view of the lake. The dock was an added bonus. We could tie our boat up there the whole weekend. Great communication with the owner as well. Overall, I’d give it a 5 star rating. We’d stay there again. "

"Our stay was Aug 26-29 for 3 families - 6 adults and 5 young children. The place was large and spacious with a well stocked kitchen BUT we had a mouse issue and the owner called me “completely unreasonable” for asking for some money back. Aug 26: ~11pm, we see grey mouse scurry by in the master ensuite. It runs under the door into the master bedroom. We try to look for it but it disappears. We try not to think about it. Aug 27: I contact Sandra for help and she said the mouse must have come...
