Beautiful room , very smart and clean, lovely river views, comfy bed and spotless linen.Only downside to room 19 is the noise during the day and early eve from people eating below on the terrace, but very quiet overnight. Also before 9am in the morning, hammer banging and electric drill noise outside window next to our headboard, suggest workmen check if room occupied before commencing work! "What a great weekend spent at this amazing hotel. The staff were so friendly and professional. The room was huge, extremely clean and had a great view of the horses in the neighbouring field. The main selling point for us was that this hotel was dog friendly. Needless to say, we will be returning next year."

"We went there with some friends for an afternoon tea which was fantastic, the food was lovely. We stayed overnight and our room was very spacious clean and tidy. The only thing I would say was the spa area was terrible, the changing rooms were not very nice, the changing room doors were broken, the lockers were in a terrible state and the windows around the pool had lots of leaks, moldy and not fitted properly. But otherwise all good. "

"FANTASTIC HOTEL. The location, the service, the bar and restaurant were all truly 5 star. Woke up this morning after truly good sleep in massive room overlooking the priory and ruins. The reception staff was simply wonderful, just little things like letting us have a coffee and a croissant when we came in to drop suitcases off before check in time. Little drink tokens on the house, to be enjoyed in a truly gorgeous bar & restaurant. We loved everything and will be back 😊"
