"What a beautiful day this was. The views from the Inn are stunning. I was welcomed by Kevin (the owner) on arrival. I enjoyed a fabulous home-cooked styled curry for dinner (a must have if you are there for curry night). The rooms are clean and nicely set up. Both Kevin and Suzanne are superb hosts. Looking for a great place to stay this is it. I look forward to my return."

"Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. Outside areas need tidying around the back of the building but the beer garden/smoking area was good. Wheel chair...

"Avoid, avoid, avoid. Quite possibly the worst place I have stayed. It's not 'normal pub noise', it's club music from 15years ago playing until around midnight. No soundproofing. Room was filthy, hairs on top of the bed (didn't lift the quilt to see what was underneath); floor hadn't been vacuumed, was dirty and heavily stained: toilet hadn't been flushed, let alone cleaned, whatever was in there had been festering for what looked like a week. No air con and no fan in the room. Room felt...

"Newly built hotel with modern very clean design. Rooms with sea view have a spectacular view. Great location on bus route around Torbay. Breakfast and dinner of good standard. Staff are very efficient, attentive and pleasant. One thing to note is the £15 per day car parking fee."

"A great hotel with an amazing view right on the South Sands beach . Quite a distance from Salcombe if you are walking and the roads around the area are very narrow ( single track) and steep. We used the ferry to get to Salcombe although it only runs until late afternoon and costs £5.50 each way . The food was good and quite reasonably priced. The decor at the hotel was a little tired . Lots of dogs were in residence and were made very welcome. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Overall...

"Beautiful position at base of Haytor Rocks. Parking easy and plenty of room inside and outside no matter what the weather. Staff great. Would recommend try and book with breakfast included. Likely to be a better deal. It is a shame the hotel has yet to install an electric charging point. There is one at an adjacent tourist facility but out or order. Other than that great!"
