Review

The physical location of the property was great, on the river as described. As others have mentioned it's not a luxury property. The 2 recliners need to be replaced. The entire cabin needs a deep clean. Dishes were dirty and there was an ant problem. Beds were ok at best; if you like firm you should be ok. Road noise was a bit annoying. 2 AC window units, 1 is loud and honestly a mini-split would do a better job. I had a good time enjoying the river but felt the price was a little high considering the above.

Perfection!

The cabin was exactly as listed! If you're looking for luxury, don't book here! Think of it as a "glamping" experience. Everything you need to enjoy nights by the fire, grilling dinner, trout fishing, hiking, whitewater rafting or kayaking, and just enjoying family and friends with a warm or cool place with a comfortable place to sleep at night. And the location!!! Absolutely amazing. Plenty of space for three adults and two teenagers right on the Nantahala River! We will be back!

Beautiful location!

Great location, right on the river. Accommodations are simple, but adequate. Wifi was a bit tricky but did work better outdoors. Amazingly peaceful, pristine environment and very private. We enjoyed our stay and caught a few fish! We enjoyed being disconnected from everyone for a few days.

Awesome location

This is our 3rd stay here and will return. My husband and I are very happy with this house and location. It is not a property for everyone. The beds are comfortable and the cabin in clean and depicted accurately in photos. It has satellite tv, but cell reception is minimal and wifi is sketchy in the cabin. You can walk to lodge for more reliable wifi. However, Im on vacation for relaxing and this is a place that is perfect for such. Again, not for everyone whom might prefer more amenities, but I will definitely book again, it is perfect for me. I will add that I have met and seen property management each of my stays, they do a great job of communication and list the rental accurately.

A breath of fresh air in Gods Country

Me and my husband stayed here for a weekend getaway we were only two hours away from home. This cabin is right on the river, has a grill,Picnic table with umbrella a back porch to set out at and look at the river and the passing rafters. Trudy gave us detailed instructions and had no problems getting there as gps didn’t work like she said The internet didn’t work well and we was warned before hand but that did not bother me because I got to be away from the hustle and bustle of life and social media. I always wanted and wished to stay right on the nanahala river and my wish came true. We will defiantly be staying here again and I just hope it will be available for us next year. THANK YOU for letting us stay at such a lovely place

Relaxing weekend

Nice simple property as described. We loved being down on the river and watching the rafters go by. Enjoyed slowing down and just enjoying the company of our family. Things to note: This is in a nice gated community right on the water. The water was frigid. It was so cold it stung. The beds could have been more comfortable but were fine for two nights. The wifi does not work but if you are in the back bedroom on the far side of the bed, you can connect to NOC—Guests. Turn up the continuous water heater before you shower. The water has an odor so we didn’t cook with it. They had Uno and playing cards in the living room drawer. There was popcorn in the cabinet! Don’t go to the Nantahala general store. We bought a box of expired macaroni for $7.25. There is an amazing Mexican restaurant in Andrews called Monte Alban. Get the shrimp tacos!

Wonderful vacation location

This property is not for everyone but was perfect for us. If you prefer luxurious and upscale with amenities including internet, cell phone reception and cable, this is not for you. If you prefer the basics surrounded by gorgeous water views, then you will not be disappointed. This was a great experience and perfect for my husband and I. We will definitely return soon. Loved it.

Cozy cabin with incredible location/views.

My father and I enjoyed our 2-day stay especially the stunning backyard views of the river. We also enjoyed fly fishing on a nearby river as well as dinner at the NOC center (5 minutes away). Bryson City also conveniently close (20-kin away) so we stopped in a few times for lunch. Thank you for sharing your home with us for this very memorable trip.

Winding River

This was the best mini vacation we ever took, only wish it was longer. The view was spectacular and the cabin was everything we needed. Next time we hope to stay longer. Compliments to Trudy Mason for reassuring us it would be fine driving there right after hurricane Ian. My son was thrilled with the river and hope to be there again soon.
