Our stay at this property was simply exceptional. The house shows a remarkable attention to detail, designed with elegance, good taste, and a warm atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The river view is truly breathtaking and creates an unforgettable natural setting.The amenities exceeded our expectations: the game room is spacious and entertaining; the kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare any kind of meal; the coffee station and the barbecue area with the Blackstone griddle were perfect for enjoying outdoor cooking. We especially loved having our meals outside while listening to the relaxing sound of the river.The outdoor areas are equally beautiful, surrounded by trees, with a cozy fire pit area and comfortable seating, all designed to relax and share special moments.A very special thanks to Mr. Martín for his excellent service and constant availability. His attention made our experience even more enjoyable and worry-free.We fully recommend this property 100%. The Martin river house is a true gem! Bryn is an incredible host and she made every aspect of our stay special. The decor is stunning and comfortable. From the soft sheets, comfy beds, gorgeous finishes and fully stocked kitchen, no detail has been missed. Bryn has excellent communication skills and made us feel right at home. The house is sparkling clean. We enjoyed listening to the river each morning over a cup of coffee on the gorgeous deck and then ending the day relaxing in the hot tub. We will be returning again next summer!

My wife and I were looking for a place to reset our lives. My father had recently passed away from a 3 year battle with cancer, and my wife is a recent cancer survivor. We needed a place to find ourselves again and to reset our lives. This was the perfect place! The home is absolutely high end beautiful, comfortable,relaxing with a lot of great activities.The home is in a small quiet private gated community. The river flows around the back of the home. During the day the rafters and kayakers pass by waving and having a great time. I suggest taking the trip down the river there are multiple outfitters close by and it's a real blast. In the evening while BBQ on the huge upper deck of the home. We watched a red tail hawk catch a trout right out of the river. It was amazing to see up close. There are several small towns close by to go exploring.I have been to a lot of places in my travels. I can sincerely tell you the people of North Carolina are just so nice and welcoming. We meet some really great people and some new friends during our trip. The homeowner was so wonderful and helpful with guiding us through all the actives that the area has to offer. This was one of the best trips of our lives. The home, The property, The surrounding areas, have everything you need for a great and truly memorable vacation. 5 stars ***** all the way! Thank you for showing us how fun and great life really is again!

Simply amazing!!

This listing is exactly as pictured…it’s a beautiful home just steps from the Nantahala river. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, sitting on the back deck and simply didn’t really want to leave the house. The kids loved the pool table and game room. This house is stocked with literally everything you need…above and beyond the basics. We will DEFINITELY stay here again! Can’t say enough great things!

Family Gathering

Our stay at the Martin's Retreat was spectacular. The home and accommodations were truly amazing. The location was super convenient for outdoor activities like fishing, white water rafting and zip lining. Bryn’s recommendations were excellent, and he was always available to answer any questions. The house, situated on the river, was incredibly pleasant and exactly as advertised.

Exceptional Venue

A very well curated property and experience. As to the property, the organization of the space naturally created occasions to gather with our group. One of our two favorites were the second floor balcony lounge area / outdoor dining space. The other was the fire pit next to the river. The outdoor dining table with views of the mountain and river provided creative inspiration for a range of art projects. As for experience, a whole series of elements from big (e.g., gourmet kitchen - appliances to cutlery) and small (e.g., choice of firewood and its smoke profile) made this a truly special time. We very much look forward to returning.
