  • Perched high in the mountains, this spacious, A-frame cabin offers stunning panoramic views, absolute privacy, and total comfort with a wrap-around deck, hot tub, fire pit, and on-site access to hiking trails and a waterfall. The interior features an open floor plan, internet, a dedicated workstation in the two-queen loft, and a primary suite with a king bed. Conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Bryson City, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the Nantahala River, this property requires a high-clearance vehicle due to steep gravel roads and a creek crossing—making it the ultimate high-elevation retreat for honeymoons or weekend getaways.

    Property & Booking Details

    Location: Alarka, Bryson City- You do have to cross a small branch of a creek, less than a foot deep, to get to the property. Vehicles require at least 12 inch ground clearance. No Motorcycles. Front Wheel drive recommended.
    o 20 minutes to Bryson City
    o 35 minutes to Cherokee’s Harrah Casino
    o 20 minutes to Great Smoky Mountain Railroad
    o 25 minutes to Nantahala Outdoor Center
    o 1 hour 30 minutes from Gatlinburg
    o 1 hour 30 minutes from Asheville

    Amenities Provided: Cabins include basic linens, kitchenware, and a starter supply of paper products and toiletries. Guests are responsible for additional supplies.

    o Minimum Age: Minimum age to rent is 25
    o Pet Policy: This cabin is not pet-friendly. Undisclosed or unauthorized pets are subject to a $300 fee, per pet.
    o Wi-Fi: This cabin includes Wi-Fi for your convenience. Please keep in mind that mountain weather can occasionally cause brief service interruptions. Wi-Fi is always available at our office and throughout downtown.

Such a nice getaway!! The cabin is just as pictured, very clean and cozy! We really enjoyed the hot tub my daughter loved the bear decor!

A very enjoyable trip

We had a great time here. The cabin was great and the view from it was beautiful. It was the perfect place to get awake from the rest of the world and just relax. I would for sure stay at this place again for another vacation.

Amazing Trip

Mountain Retreat

The cabin was beautiful and the view from the deck was amazing! It was peaceful and relaxing. The last bit of road to the cabin was tricky but well worth the drive.

The cabin was beautiful the only thing was it was too small for 3 teenagers plus us. They did have some dishwasher tablets but again with a family of 5, the 2 were just not enough to last the full trip. As well as the hot water it didn't last .it also would've been nice to have more than just 2 trash bags. It was a very nice cabin just not the best for a family of 5.The beds were very comfortable.

Mountain Time 2024

Our stay was absolutely magical and overwhelming perfect. We had a great time with friends in the hot tub. We also got engaged!! It was beautiful!!

Relaxing

We had a few hiccups but the management company was very responsive which was great. Overall the cabin and stay was what we expected and we had a good time, if issues were fixed we would return for sure

Relaxing

Mountain Time was a much needed tranquil get away. The cabin was very clean and accommodating. The view was awesome, and it was so quiet there. We enjoyed star gazing from the hot tub in the evenings, and listening to the owlsin the area. We would definitely look forward to a return visit, but maybe with a 4x4 next time as the driveway was a little rough but traveling it was not real hard.

Amazing property

This was an amazing get away. It was a good friends birthday so we surprised her with a weekend get away. It was amazing. I live locally however it was a good way to meet a little closer to her and have an actual get away. Will most definitely not hesitate to book this location again if the need arises.

Sister vacation

This year we opted for a maintain vacation instead of a beach one and we are so thankful we did. We weathered the hurricane in this amazing cabin. The hot tub was a great addition to the wonderful experience!! The drive up to the mountain was incredible, thankful we had a 4x4 truck though. Views were spectacular!!

Will be back!

This was my mom(64) and son(7) first time going to the mountains and they are both hooked now! The cabin was amazing with beautiful views which makes up for the driveway. Will definitely be returning.

The listing was all that and more!! The home was PERFECT, the view was PERFECT, even the weather was PERFECT!! Trip up the mountain was a tiny bit sketchy, we we got through it just fine! We will DEF be back!!

Amazing

My only complaint is, even though the cabin was pet friendly, it had a rug in the middle of the floor that we had to roll up due to the urine smell. Other than that, this place was perfect for us. Very spacious. Also, do not bring a low profile vehicle to this cabin, you have to cross a creek that could possibly catch your vehicle. This place is honestly perfect

Million Dollar View

What more could we have asked for...The views, the cabin, hot tube and fire place all met out expectations and then some. We came in for Polar Express in Bryson City. A short drive down the Mountain in to town. The drive up to the cabin was a challenge...we drove our Tahoe ...would not recommend drive a car to the cabin. You have to drive through a small creek on the way to the cabin. Over all...We LOVED it and will be back again soon!
