Best family memories made!

Emmas is beautiful and every second of our stay was filled with adventure and beauty. Couldn't recommend more highly for families with kids looking for an outdoor adventure with beautiful indoor accommodations.

Beautiful, peaceful stay

This property is located in a stunning setting, with beautiful marsh and some of the most beautiful trees you’ve ever seen. The cabin is so well done, comfortable yet elegant. So many outdoor options for relaxing. If you’re looking for quiet walks and a place to unplug, this is it!

Perfect peaceful retreat

Wonderful Secluded Getaway

Secluded yet close enough to Jekyll Island, St. Simon's Island and more! The property was beautiful and the house was more than we expected. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Pool was relaxing., beautiful area for runs/walks, property staff was exceptional. Large groups or small, the farm is a very unique place to celebrate anything you want to celebrate in life.

Splendor on the Marsh

Beautiful setting with very interesting and well thought out accommodations. We slept 3 couples in Hatcher and entertained twelve easily. Lots of areas for various sized groups to mingle and re-mingle plus spaces to get away on your own for a bit. The pool and pool area were very nice but a little chilly to enjoy except for a few 'polar bears'. Handsome boardwalks and docks let you get up close in the marsh on walks. The game pavilion was a plus as well.

Birthday Getaway

We rented the Hatcher House for a long weekend getaway to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The house and overall property were amazing and we had a great time. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could need. The new pool was next to the house and just steps away. Everyone we encountered in town and on the property was very friendly. The farm would be a great place to host a large family event or wedding. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Peaceful retreat

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful farmhouse. The house is incredibly well equipped and has every amenity that we could ask for. We enjoyed the fireplace nightly. There is lots of outdoor space. The setting is serene and there is a beautiful view! John, the property manager, was awesome to work with and easy to reach. We really enjoyed this property! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

Beautiful farmhouse

We are repeat guests at the Hatcher House. This is an elegant farmhouse steeped in history. We love the solitude and natural beauty of this place! The house is very well equipped with high end touches and beautiful outdoor porches. John is a pleasure to work with! The pool and pool house that have recently been added are beautiful and only increase the appeal. We plan to return as often as we can!

Extraordinary farm house in Darien!

This property is a gem! The home is beautifully decorated and every detail has been considered. The beds and linens are delightful and the kitchen and appliances were perfect. The setting of the home is simply stunning. We were a group of 8, ranging from age 11 to 80 and everyone loved our stay. We fished and crabbed from the docks and sat around the fire and roasted marshmallows, cooked yummy meals, celebrated an 11th birthday, walked the property and just enjoyed being there. It is a wonderful place to spend time together.

Unique Georgia Experience

This is a unique Georgia coast property. You can spend days exploring the farm and it’s waterfront amenities. Or you can use it as your base of operations for off-site adventures. Our family of 5 and 2 dogs did both and it was the perfect balance. The Hatcher house is uber Instagram worthy, immaculate and had every comfort and modern amenity. The outdoor spaces: porches, patios and grand cauldron fire pit provided opportunity for all kinds of outdoor moments. John, the manager, was fantastic, checking in to make sure we were comfortable, answer questions and help us schedule offsite activities. This is really a special place, perfect for families or groups. They only opened in January and feel fortunate we found it. Can’t imagine there will ever be much vacancy...so check it out!

Seclusion, Serenity and Style at the Hatcher House Homestead

My husband and I rented this breathtaking gem for a respite from the hustle and bustle while visiting family in Darien. We chose this space because they kindly accommodated our four-legged companion. The setting could not have offered more in terms of access to the spectacular flora and fauna of southern GA. The fantastically repurposed and architecturally inspiring home far exceeded our expectations, replete with creature comforts galore: a well-appointed kitchen; comfortable living, dining and sleeping areas; an outdoor firepit for evening star gazing; and lovely porches from which to watch the sunrise. In addition, it is perfectly situated geographically to enable further exploration of the surrounding islands. We ended up extending our stay not once but twice because we simply couldn’t bear to leave the incredible amenities of the homestead and exceptional beauty of the terrain. MANY thanks to Chandler for his cordiality and hospitality, and to John for his kindness and assistance throughout our stay.

Exceptional Getaway

Everything about this property is top-notch. We spoke with John ahead of our visit, and were also provided with a guest guide with tons of information about the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a wine and cheese board, along with complimentary branded cups and coozies and a hat. The farmhouse is absolutely stunning, and super clean. The property is beautiful, with huge mature oaks, amazing views, and a very nice pier and dock area. One very important aspect about this house is that EVERYTHING is included! Coffee, sugar, creamer, spices, toilet paper, paper towels, towels and linens, and the list goes on. For the fire pit, there was plenty of wood and starter. All pots and pans, knives, etc. Fishing gear for the dock. Other than groceries, you won't need to bring anything with you. We spoke with John once during the stay, and once at checkout. He was super helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Using the information in the guest guide, we called Tasteful Temptations Catering and ordered a Brunch, fruit tray, and Low Country Boil. There was enough food for multiple meals, and it was delicious! We visited Jekyl Island and St. Simons Island during our three night stay, which were great day-trips. Fishing from the dock was fun, although I only caught one catfish. Emma's Driftwood Farm is truly a hidden gem. Book it, and you won't regret it!

Fabulous accommodations in a breathtaking environment

My friends traveled from all over to celebrate my 45th birthday and we LOVED this house! The soaker tub on the screened-in porch was EVERYTHING. Extremely well-appointed with lovely bath products, fishing poles, even crab traps. I can't wait to come back with my family to again gaze upon the sea of seagrass and more stars than I've seen in decades.

Great location for a serene getaway

This place is awesome and so is the property manager John. We spent a week there and had a great time. Very secluded with all the comforts of home. Spectacular views and access to the river. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place to get away from it all and get the ultimate in relaxation.

Beautiful View, Relaxed Elegance

The property was easy to book with clear communications from property manager. We encountered no issues and did not have to make the typical inquiries upon checking in - everything is thought of in advance and ready for guests. The house is beautifully restored and updated. The views are beautiful - serene and peaceful. We loved the birds and other wildlife - have never seen so many egrets at one time. We had 3 college aged sons with us and they enjoyed the trip. They golfed a different course on 3 days - many great choices within easy driving distance. We cooked dinner in the well equipped kitchen and there were nearby options for dining and takeout and a couple of good grocery stores. We hope to return. Have no suggestions for improvement - in addition to the view and generous space, the house is spotlessly clean with plentiful upscale linens. We loved the breezeway room. There is also a beautiful screened in porch with recliners for reading and the marsh side porch has rocking chairs and fans. We spent the early evening hours on the porch and saw an amazing sunrise each day over the marsh. We traveled to St Simons Island to the WWII Museum and Lighthouse one day and also saw the nearby Fort King George to learn more about the area's history. Laundry area and closet space are very updated and generous. Would hope to return.

Beautiful Getaway Spot

The home is well appointed and situated on a beautifully-treed lot with a stunning view of the marsh and Sapelo Island. The management team was appropriately attentive, and the home itself provided everything we needed. We will be back!

Paradise

This property was beyond what I expected! It is so beautiful and peaceful. We stayed with 5 adults and 4 kids. The house and property was gorgeous and we didn’t want to live! It has everything you would need and very comfy beds and linens. We plan on returning when the pool house it done!
