Great house!

This a great little house that was perfect for our stay. We saw deer in the yard daily and enjoyed the screen porch.

Wonderful visit

The property was just the right suze for the 2 of us. In fact there was plenty of room to accommodate a couple more people. The lication to the beach waa very convenient. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Beach House

We had so much fun! The beach access is just twenty or so steps from the house. The neighborhood is quiet. The kitchen is well equipped! The outdoor shower is the best. We hope to book again soon!

Convenient location, musty smell

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this property twice in the last five years, and we like the location. It is convenient to the beach and a short bike ride to shops. However, the house is very musty - much more so in our more recent visit (June 2025). In fact, it is so musty that many of our clothing items and backpacks still smelled musty weeks after our visit even after airing them out. For the price that is charged for this property, I expect more, and I would hesitate to rent it again or to recommend it to others.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beach Oaks rental house has convenient access to the beach. The house, however was extremely dirty. Every surface, (floors, windows, furniture, doorframes) were covered in grime and dust. The kitchen cabinets and stove had food particles stuck to them. A black spider had been squished on the white cabinet and left there. The upholstery on sofas and chairs was so dirty, stained and torn that we had to put sheets over them to sit down. The microwave, washer and dryer were so rusted they felt unsafe to use. The fire alarm would go off for no reason. This was the eighth house we have rented on Jekyll. It was by far the nastiest. Rental property takes a lot of abuse but even old places can be cleaned. We love Jekyll and enjoyed our time outside the house.

I appreciate the colorful updates on the interior. Allowing our pups during the off-season is so important to us as well.

Clean, lots of windos so bright inside, room sizes were awesome, kitchen fully stocked with anything you would need, hangers in the closets and the location was perfect. The only issue is the bushes along the drive. It is very difficult pulling out as you can't see any walker of bike person until you're in the middle of the road. Those bushes should be trimmed down.

We had to leave early due to Tropical Storm Nicole, wish we could have received a few days credit, but I guess they have to evacuate in order to do that.
