Perfect Location

The house was perfect for our long weekend. We enjoyed the screened in porch, the rooftop deck and the proximity to the beach.

Americana Beach—Memorial Day-June.

The bedroom with the bunk beds gets a little stuffy—I know a ceiling fan there might be problematic, but some kind of fan would be nice. The screened in porch was great, but it might need a larger/second fan as well. Overall, though, we were very satisfied with the house.

Awesome location!

We really enjoyed this house. I liked how the description of the house had a floor plan so I knew exactly how to arrange people. It is unusual to have bunk beds, but I have 3 kids and that is very helpful. It would be great to have a more complete list of what is available in the kitchen and what is not. I brought dishwasher soap, but it was there. No salt or anything like that. There was a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. Some might find the water on the island has a taste so may want to bring it or buy it at the small grocery right next to Jekyll Realty. Towels and sheets were not provided which was fine, but you better be in decent shape if you have to slither up to make the top bunk! Loved how close we were to the beach and all the fun stuff on Jekyll. Such a lovely view from the porch on the top of the house. Quiet and peaceful area. Great wi-fi and TVs. A replacement of the king mattress is probably warranted here as my husband and I both found it could use it. One side in particular was worn. In short, a good time was had by all here. I would definitely return!

Family Biking Vacation

Everyone in our group of six adults and two kids (5 and 7) loved this house and it’s location. The crosswalk to the beach is right outside the back door. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. A quirk we hadn’t seen in our many house/condo rentals was ice trays instead of an ice maker in the refrigerator. Nor had we ever not had bed linens and towels provided. They’re available for rental or you can bring your own. Not an issue—just new to us. The house provides an excellent washer and dryer. The house also has a sun deck with table and chairs for dining. We enjoyed eating up there and just relaxing. A screened patio had two dining tables and a seating area. The indoor dining table seated our group of eight very comfortably. This was a biking group, and we covered practically every trail on Jekyll. We rented an adult/kid tandem bike for the five year old who wasn’t proficient enough to ride bike trails. He loved it-highly recommend. The house is located at the end of a short side street with hardly any traffic and was very quiet. We would definitely rent this house again.

Wonderful Home

Wonderful location. Be aware of the tide...high tide doesn't allow beach time but that was dinner time so no worries. There is absolutely no linens! So bring fitted sheets, any towels; beach and bathing towels and wash clothes. Bring kitchen towels as well. Kitchen was well stocked but no dishwasher tablets or paper towels. Overall, we enjoyed the house. Truly was beautiful with a wonderful amount of space in the backyard for the kids to play. Will def be back.

Great Weekend with friends

The house is updated and was clean upon arrival. The kitchen was more stocked than most rental houses (kitchen gadgets, cooking tools, etc.) which was nice because we cooked most meals. Restricted beach access is mentioned in the description, but beach access is only available 2 hours before and after low tide. The house has a gas grill, but propane is not included in the rental.

Labor Day fun

Wonderfully clean and neat home. Easily accommodated 4 teens, my husband and myself as well as my father-in-law. Beach access immediately behind the house. A deer family came to visit one afternoon.

American Beach house was amazing!!

We Loved this property! The pictures did not do it justice. It was an older home, but updated & this met all our expectations. We are hotel snobs to an extent, We love all Hilton’s or Hampton Inns, this met our qualifications. We had 9 people. It plenty of room inside & out. Enough room for 14 people if you needed. Easy access to the beach just right out your back door. Now we didn’t have any babies, toddlers or elderly or they wouldn’t have been able to over the big rocks. But there is beach access 3 houses down. You can see the ocean from the top deck, over the trees. You can’t see the waves, but you can hear them from the deck. We loved the small island & the beach was like we were on our private island, no one was around us at all, no matter what time we was in the beach. You can def. social distance here! This was our first trip to Jekyll but we are already planning to come back!

Amazing Beach House

Our stay came in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. My wife, kids and i had all been working long hours to complete work and school We needed this week to reconnect with ourselves, and with each other. The spot was perfect -- the sounds, views and smell of the ocean was perfect. the beautiful house provided us with everything we needed -- and more. there was plenty of space to stretch out, and just enough cozy place to come together. we cooked just about every night, and then retired to the back porch and talk about all that is going on. We look forward to returning, and would recommend this beautiful home to friends and family.

Fantastic house. Very clean on the beach. Slightly obstructed view due to greenery but that bring unbelievably wildlife right to your door. Great location to beach access.

AMERICANA BEACH

Great Property. Well laid out seating areas for your whole group to hang out and quiet spaces for individual conversations. Best feature is the screen porch on the back. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Jekyll.
