"Friendly welcoming staff, varied menu and excellent food and atmosphere in the bar area. Good choice of breakfast and plenty of it. Clean and quiet room with a comfortable bed and small but adequate en-suite. We would stay again and would happily recommend it to others."

"Gorgeous location. Big room with comfy bed and good bathroom. Cosy bar and we enjoyed a lovely meal. Nice walk into the tiny village for cafe and another pub. Good value. If you’re not a dog person it’s worth noting there were a lot of guests with dogs."

"The room ( junior suite ) was cold as the radiators were not working when we arrived. Reception was informed at about 4,00 pm but nothing improved until several houirs later. Two electric heaters were put in the room and the radiators eventually came on. The 'fault', we weere told, was the room thermostst which was located outside in the hallway (???) and somebody had turned it off. Shame that the management didn't check the room thoroughly prior to our arrival. Otherwise, great room,...

"Nice big room and bathroom, the only downside was staying there during a hot spell and the bathroom got the sum very early morning and the bedroom for the rest of the day making it unbearable to sleep in, even though there was a fan provided. The bottom sheet didnt fit the bed properly so with shuffling due to the heat it didnt stay on for long. Great location and a good base for visiting the area and plenty of parking. We had breakfast but wished we hadnt as it was very disappointing when...

"Great location for Saltburn & Whitby, lovely, quiet village. Sunday lunch was delicious, big portions, very good value for money. Would highly recommend. The room was clean & very comfortable with fantastic views. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were all very friendly and attentative. Will definitely visit again. "

"I couldn't have picked a better place to stay – this hotel is in the perfect location! Whether I was heading out to explore the hubbub or grab a bite at nearby restaurants, everything was just outside the door. The room was stylish, with little touches that make a stay feel special. The building amenities were acceptable to poor, The bath plug did not have a chain, so needed to be pried out with a spoon handle. The coffee and tea soon ran out and didn't have any idea where to get replacements. The Coffee percolator did not work at all.
