We stayed a little over a week through the 4th of July holiday to get away and take a much-needed break. Everything in the cabin was amazing! The location is remote and peaceful—exactly what we were looking for—but definitely take the host’s advice about having a 4-wheel drive. We took our truck and were so glad we did, especially since the roads leading to the cabin are unpaved and can get tricky when it rains. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed—new appliances, super clean, and fully equipped. We had a toaster, slow cooker, every pot and pan you can imagine, plus tons of utensils and grilling tools. The bedroom and bathroom were both spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer available, which made our longer stay even easier. The back deck was one of our favorite spots—it’s peaceful, private, and accessible from both the kitchen and bedroom. Even in the summer heat, the large outdoor fan kept it comfortable. We loved evenings out there grilling, relaxing, and taking in the scenery. We even spotted a few deer in the early mornings! If you’re up for getting out and exploring, there are two great local restaurants just a couple of miles from the cabin: Naaman’s BBQ (authentic and delicious) and Shuck Me (great outdoor bar, tasty fried shrimp, and friendly staff). For more variety, there are several other spots within a 10–15 minute drive. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back!
