We had a great time in Broken Bow. The cabin was super nice and spacious, located in a great area, and we loved being right on a pond. We weren’t too far off the highway so it was a quick trip to get to the main part of Hochatown and the state park entrances. There are a couple of things to note;The communication from the property manager was unreliable, leading up to and during the trip. Took him hours, sometimes days, to respond. Ex; The day of check-in, we had to reach out to him to get our access code upon arrival, instead of receiving it at 8am like he previously stated. The inside & outside of the cabin was not well maintained, 2 out of 4 kayaks had holes in the bottom with only one working paddle, the outdoor TV did not work. My family cleaned when we first got into the house because some of the surfaces felt dirty and we had half a dustpan of dirt just from the downstairs floor areas. There were dirty socks lying under beds, confetti and candy wrappers in one of the bedrooms.In the listing it states a “private pond” but you share it with two other houses. There also was no bathtub, which was in the listing. Like I said, it was a nice place, but we definitely would have liked full transparency for what we paid.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and especially loved the back porch.
