Great Time!

The cabin was nicely done and in great proximity to town. We caught and released small fish from the pond, enjoyed the spa, fire pit, and bbq. We saw deer, rabbits and armadillos. Thanks for a great getaway from the daily! It was fantastic

We loved our experience at this VRBO in Broken Bow. The property was perfect. We had everything we needed. The host was very informative and helpful. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Broken Bow.

Disappointing and Bad Location

Unfortunately, our stay at this property was disappointing. The location is inconvenient and difficult to get to. Not easy access to most of the attractions in Broken Bow, and the roads leading to it were in absolutely terrible condition—full of deep potholes and some even flooded during the trip leaving us stuck. Upon arrival, we struggled to find the cabin since there were no visible signs or house numbers, and we mistakenly ended up at the wrong property in the dark.Cleanliness and maintenance left a lot to be desired. The place was filled with dusty fake plants for some reason, and the outdoor furniture was so dirty and covered in pollen that no one felt comfortable sitting outside to work, relax, or enjoy the views. We also experienced a power outage during severe storms and tornado warnings, and unfortunately, the internet went out too—leaving us with no updates on weather conditions. We had asked to reschedule due to traveling with a toddler, but the host was more concerned with their overpriced booking. Ironically, they later sent an automated message saying our safety was their top priority—tone-deaf at best.There were also safety concerns. We had a close encounter with a copperhead snake, which made outdoor time nerve-wracking. Lastly, the “stocked pond” appeared to be a bust—only one tinh fish was caught the entire weekend.Overall, we wouldn’t recommend this property, especially for families or anyone expecting a relaxing, well-maintained retreat.

Perfect cabin in great location with a pond

Our family enjoyed the cabin set away in the back away from traffic but still close to hiking and restaurants. My boys enjoyed fishing in the stocked pond and roasting s’more in the fire pit. Nice family getaway!

Amazing!

The property listing was very accurate. I was pleasantly surprised how stocked the kitchen was - plenty of pots, pans, starter spices. The property is beautiful with lots of space - gorgeous area all around. Close to town and hiking trails.The only downfall was that my son only caught one fish :( otherwise, we had the best time!

After Christmas Getaway

We had a really great time at this cabin! It was beautiful and very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy, and the house was warm and inviting upon our arrival after a long drive. We enjoyed the hot tub, fireplaces, outdoor tv, fire pit, fishing pond and all the outdoor games. Would definitely return to this cabin in the future!

We had a great stay @ the cabin! Everything was decorated & cozy! The host was great at communicating throughout when needed. They had plenty of outdoor fun games to do, our kids enjoyed them! My son enjoyed catch & release fishing in the pond.

Perfect cabin for our family weekend

We stay in Hochatown every year...family tradition since 2011. We all agreed that this was one of the top 3 favorite cabins we've stayed in. Marissa is a fabulous communicator, which is paramount to me! When we arrived at dusk, the cabin was illuminated beautifully, and there was lovely ambient music playing throughout the space. A nice touch! Check-in was a breeze. The cabin was very well stocked. You don't usually see shampoo and conditioner provided, so that was a bonus! There was also a huge pantry to store food items. I've never seen that before, and it was so useful to us. The split floorplan was fantastic for our family. Our 5 year old son LOVED the bunkbeds, the yard games, and especially loved the private fishing pond! That alone was worth it to him! :) The only suggestions I'd make for future guests are to have a mop or other cleaning supplies available. We brought our own counter cleanser, thankfully. Otherwise, we would have left a mess, and that's never what I want to do. It also rained most of the weekend, and we ended up tracking in mud and grass. I did find a small dust pan and did my best to kneel and clean, but a mop or even a small vacuum would have been fabulous. We would most definitely stay at this cabin again! It's pretty far from the main road, which we found to be great for us. It was quiet, and it wasn't as convenient to *run into town*, which forced us to stay in and enjoy the amenities. Win/win! Great Family Time away from the city.

Really nice and modern property. Excellent location located on a back road which helps with traffic noise and dust. Perfect fire pit, perfect patio hot tub with TV's everywhere! Surrounded by beautiful pines and has a nice pond to fish.

Lovely Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It is beautifully decorated and had all that we needed. Information prior to the trip was helpful and communication with the host was very easy! We have been coming to this area for years and this was one of our favorite houses. The only downside was the long drive on dirt roads to get to the house, but not out of the ordinary! We'd definitely come back!

Great place, lots of amenities!

Really enjoyed the stay. As the pond develops the fish will grow and be even more fun (although even with the small ones we had a blast). Dirt/gravel road wasn’t my favorite, but definitely made the truck look like we had been thru an adventure. Hot tub was perfect. Overall the cabin was very nice and had everything we needed and beyond. We would definitely stay there again.

Really had a great time. The house was great! Really immaculate condition and super clean. Could not have asked for a more perfect get away! Definitely planning to return soon! Only negative, which has nothing to do with my overall review, was the horrible road conditions in that area. Really hope there are plans for the city to improve those.

Our first time visiting Broken Bow/Hochatown! We came for a little getaway for our “baby moon.” We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Everything was excellent and more! Definitely plan to come back! Book this cabin! You won’t be disappointed!
