Our stay and communication with the owner was not pleasant. They took between 6-7 hours to respond to message about electrical issue. They were traveling and didn’t have service for hours while we had an issue at their place…and they don’t have a backup person when they aren’t available. So we waited hours with no repair and til 10pm for the maintenance guy to leave with no repair. Owner wanted to interrupt our stay a 2nd day for the electrician…no…we didn’t allow it. We feel had they answered even in 2 hours from the noonish message we sent them the maintenance guy and electrician could have been in and out in one day….that’s acceptable. But 2 days interrupting our stay is not. The owners repeatedly said “but they were traveling, no service”..cool but someone has to be there to answer messages in a decent timeline. They never offered a credit…I had to ask after 2 days of messages and he gave 70. Anyway…cute place…just our communication and expectations 100% don’t jive. Suggestions: change the firepit to wood. The propane firepit doesn’t put out heat and IMO is a waste of . Most people come with wood or they buy it down the road. Save yourself . And better communication…other than that they have a goldmine but communication when a guest is inconvenienced needs to be better. The whole thing just killed the vibe the owners are trying to offer.
