Family vaca

The inside of the cabin was really nice. Would have liked the outside to be a little more kept up. Outside ceiling fan didn't work a couple of the lights didn't either . We had weather one evening and lost electricity for several hours there was no candles, flashlights or backup power it was definitely hot an miserable

Great Location to Enjoy Beaver's Bend

We loved the space, the fire pit,hot tub, and very well appointed kitchen. It's a tiny bit further off the main road than we had hoped, but we had a really nice time and it was just 12 minutes from all the fun stuff in the park.

Great cabin near Beaver's Bend State Park

We loved the location of the cabin near Beaver's Bend State Park. The property was really beautiful with lots of trees near the creek. The layout of the cabin was great with the master bedroom and bathroom upstairs. We were there right after Christmas, so we enjoyed making S'mores by the firepit. The wrap-around porch was very nice. The only issue with the place was that the dishwasher was stained/dirty and had a smell, so we just washed our dishes by hand.

Hickory Hideaway

Very nice property with a lot of room and ammenities. The only thing lacking was that there were no string lights around the play area and fire pit. The back stair area was a little dark.

Great stay!

The place was nice, clean, and cozy. The beds were very comfortable. The one and only complaint is the water. Smells awful! Makes the whole house smell like sulfa/sewer. Otherwise, the place was awesome!

The theme of the interiors was fantastic and this was the perfect place to entertain my young children - woods, hot tub, plyground, etc

Overall great stay

Only negatives - the downstairs bathroom had a very strong sewer smell (everything worked fine). My twins (who slept downstairs) didn’t seems to mind but would smell up entire cabin if we didn’t keep door closed. Hot tub wasn’t very hot, so not sure if something broke on temperature settings (but again, the kids just wanted a hot tub). HOWEVER, everything else about this cabin was perfect. Great for a small family. Loved the decor in the cabin. Loved that the master suite was upstairs. Fantastic deck and outdoor fire pit area.

It’s all about family.

Once a year my siblings and myself has going on vacation together, and for the past three years my family and myself wanted to do something closer to home since the pandemic, and we have been almost everywhere, but the cabins has been one of the best vacation ever, you guys has everything that you would imagine that a home should have, we normally will go our own way once we on vacation, but there we do everything together as a whole and spend most of our time together now while we on vacation, just cooking and sitting outside and talking about the old days.

Nice Cabin

It was nice, there was so many things to do within a few miles. We went horseback riding and kayaking. Our family enjoyed our week up there.

Good time, but disappointed.

We made some great memories with our family! We enjoyed the fire place, deck, hot tub & outdoor space. But, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin. VERY dusty. The air filter & return air vent was caked with dust. Filter had not been changed at least 6 months or more. The blinds & mantle & all the decor were also covered in dust. There was a horrible sewer smell from the downstairs bathroom. The bath tub was also clogged & there was a lot of hair in the drain. The dishwasher was very dirty on the inside & did not clean the dishes well at all. I would except paying close to $400 a night to have a very clean place to stay!

Our stay

This is a nice cabin with a couple of exceptions. The upstairs shower is so small it’s difficult to move in and I’m not a large person. Secondly the water from the faucets smells and taste like rust. All of the sinks and toilets are stained an orange color I’m sure due to this. Otherwise it was great!
