Amazing Cottage in Brixham

It was our first time staying in the Devon area and we were not disappointed. Not only is Brixham a lovely place to visit, but it was made even better by this accommodation. This cottage is kit out with all the facilities with a modern contemporary feel. Rooms and beds are comfortable and the kitchen is amazing with all the newest utilities. But the icing on the cake was the most amazing views from the lounge window which one could literally stare out the entire day. Communication with the host, William was brilliant and he replied within minutes. Looking forward to staying there again in the near future

Christmas in Brixham

We had a wonderful time staying in the cottage, we were blown away with the view! It was great for a teenager and two younger kids, it would also be great if you had a relative with you as the second double bedroom is away from the main bit of the house and near the bathroom. It was really clean and we loved the coffee machine and the new kitchen and cosy cushions, blankets, plants etc to make it feel like a home. It would be nice to have a lamp in the lounge too for low lighting. The bedroom decor was also really cool. There was everything that you needed and a short walk to the town and beach. Looking forward to staying again.

Friends Getaway

We recently enjoyed a 3 night stay in Brixham at Bayview Cottage. The cottage is aptly named with a stunning view of the bay which can be enjoyed from the lounge and two of the three bedrooms. This property has a deck as well with the same stunning view however it is not very inviting with overgrown and unattended weeds/plants and minimal and uncomfortable deck furniture. The deck needed to be swept and cleaned up to enjoy. Inside, the kitchen is lovely and well appointed. The lounge has minimal furniture that is not very comfortable. The bedrooms are well set up with comfy beds and bedding. The property design is vertical split over three floors with both bathrooms side by side on the bottom floor and the kitchen and lounge on top. For those who have mobility issues, the property could prove challenging. Parking or lack thereof can also be challenging but we managed. Cleanliness was adequate however it was evident the carpet had not been thoroughly vacuumed before our arrival. In terms of staple supplies we found the lack of tissue/Kleenex and shower gel an inconvenience and had to go out and buy upon our arrival. Overall we enjoyed the property. The location and view are outstanding.

What was great: The view at the harbour ist spectacular. Also it is quite calm there. Everything you need is in the house. It was almost clean. Problems: There is nor possibility for bigger cars to park in the street. You have walk ca. 500 meters. You have to look for a parking space every day. No power outlets in the bathrooms. Very narrow and steep stairs in the house. So it is a problem to use the house with very young children or disabled persons. When we arrived the toilet seat in the main bathroom was broken. It was not usable for us. We informed at once but it was only repaired one week later. Also in Brixham everywhere there are a lot of stairs you have to walk to get down to the harbour/city. That was for us not a problem. Therefore the view is really fantastic.

Great cottage, amazing view

The property is newly refurbished and very stylish. Its also well equipped and very comfortable. Great kitchen for self catering. The location just a short walk down into the town is ideal. Also great for coastal walks. Superb base for exploring that corner of Devon.
