  • Maple Cottage is a cosy one bedroom cottage located in beautiful Bright. It has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. If you do decide to venture out you are an easy 15 minute walk into the town centre and an even easier bike ride with the rail trail close by, the location of this place couldn't be better.

    This property is managed on behalf of the owners by Bright Holidays (part of the Dickens Real Estate group)

    KITCHEN & DINING
    Fully equipped kitchen to cook up a storm, complete with a dishwasher to make cleaning up a breeze.

    LOUNGEROOM
    With two comfy couches there is plenty of space to stretch out (or snuggle up) at the end of a long day exploring Bright and surrounds.

    This property has WIFI

    HEATING & COOLING
    A wood fire heater to keep you warm on those chilly winter days and nights and a reverse cycle air conditioner to keep you cool during our hot summers. Please note a starter supply of firewood, kindling, fire lighters and matches are supplied only between May - September. Firewood and supplies can be purchased at local supermarkets and service stations.

    BATHROOM
    Generous sized bathroom complete with a relaxing spa bath.

    OUTDOORS
    A private verandah with an electric BBQ for those summer nights. Perfect for your morning cuppa or an afternoon in the sun enjoying a glass of wine and taking in the views.

Cute little place

We stayed for the weekend of the buffalo stampede. Not to far to get to the event. Comfy bed. About a 15 minute walk into town.

Relaxing Weekend Getaway

House was a lovely local stay to enjoy activities in the surrounding area and have a convenient warm place to rest our heads after a long day. Indoor spa was a highlight and had all the amentities we needed. Thank you.

Brilliant Bright!

Lucky with the weather and we were able to do all we wanted in five days. Not skiers so no trip without covid test didn’t worry us. Highlight was the Ebike hire half day. Loved it!

Reviewer Comments: We had the pleasure of staying at Maple Cottage recently.Located within an easy 5 min walk to the township and everything its many amenities; Maple Cottage offers everything needed for a pleasant short or long-term stay'It was clean and tidy and has the added bonuses of a spa bath and slow combustion heater.Overall, we were very happy with the cottage and its location, with just a suggestion for a Smart TV and perhaps an air fryer also.

It is a good set up for two peaple and we find it a great location with a 15 to 20 minute walk into Bright. The key pick up arrangement works well especially arriving outside business hours

Unfortunately it was a very hot 4 days and no air-con in the bedroom which made sleeping almost impossible. The outside table and chairs had to be cleaned as they were covered in bird droppings and it was not recent.

Bright Cottage

Oldish but clean and nice with most things you need. Electric BBQ did not work. Old LED TV no smart and trouble operating it. Very short on crockery. Everything else great. Great location.

Reviewer Comments: Excellently situated, this surprisingly spacious cottage, well-supplied (though water glasses and ice-cube tray could be added), made for a very relaxing holiday. The agents sent rather too many email messages though, and it wasn't initially made clear that there was a third-party agency from where keys had to be collected and returned.

Reviewer Comments: On arrival the kitchen tap when used sprayed water about two meters from the side, this we reported and it is going to be fixed. The fridge would wake the dead, it absolutely hammers which required the bedroom door to be closed at night to deaden the sound. The washing machine worked but some of the controls knobs are broken. Only three dinner plates, bowls and bread and butter plates were supplied which is very poor and also no fruit bowl. No lids for any of the pyrex bowls and only one dish washing tablet. No coffee machines however there was a coffee plunger. Overall the place was clean, furnishings were good, the bed was reasonably comfortable and there was plenty of space inside and out. The trees are very close to the house and make the place dark inside and the lovely front porch is in shade most of the time. It is a decent stroll into town but quite doable and the main bike path is close by. I would not stay there again, for the money there are places much closer to the town centre with a more plesant appearence.

Large Cottage, but attached to another Cottage not SEEN in Photos

Reviewer Comments: There are many good things about this Cottage, unfortunately there were too many bad things I have left a fair and honest review.I have my own rental apartment on AirBnB and in Melbourne. You are only given instructions one day before, of where pick up the key and the address of the cottage.I had to contact the office as I wanted to plan my trip to Bright and know where to go.Finding the real estate agent checkin safe was straightforward.Then it went pear-shaped.The written instructions were incorrect the name of the cottage on the instruction sheet was not the same as the signage at the front of the cottage. Complete confusion resulting in 20 minutes driving up and down the street in different directions and then finally having to contact a neighbour who said it might be this one here.We were even more disappointed when we entered the cottage. This is a Duplex. This is joined to another cottage which had people in it.You can hear them stomping around during the day and night and hear their TV.They vacated the adjoining cottage after 3 days, so we had five days of silence.The TV is outdated and very slow needs to be upgraded to a smart TV. Not expensive.The toilet paper was so thin I had to fold it over 3 to 4 times so it did not breakthrough.The barbecue was filthy. Reading the notes in the book, the barbecue is to be cleaned by guests. This was so dirty we could not use it.We were only provided one towel each, which is not enough for an eight day stay, especially when you shower morning and night.The worst issue was when it rained there is non-stop loud gurgling every hour. This is from the bedroom down pipe. We were woken up 4 nights, due to much rain. You have to replace firewood if you use the pot belly. The fridge is so loud, and faulty.The cottage is very clean, with a good split system air conditioner. The Spa was very relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped and the king Bed is med

Our only frustration was the tv and trying to watch (Le Tour in particular).. no way could we find how to turn off the subtitles .. soo frustrating!! Great restaurants and our 2nd visit - were from Tassie n love the polite quiet pristine country environment. 😁
