"My family of four stayed 3 nights here and really enjoyed the lakeside views and fire pit. The beds were comfortable but other inside seating areas were not conducive for gathering. With a heavy emphasis on rustic charm, the place did not appear to be well maintained. There were active spiders and spiderwebs in many corners of the house. The couch was visibly dirty and ripped. The kitchen and bathroom sinks were chipped and stained. We were also asked to bring our own firewood, wash our own...

"Our stay at Herons watch was wonderful. The house was clean and stocked with everything we could ever want and need. We brought our boat and launched it at the bridge which was easy and the ride on the lake back to the house was smooth and easy. The views are awesome. We enjoyed family meals and sitting on the porch , had a camp fire, played games, fished and relaxed. I highly recommend this home for a quality vacation thank you"

"The property was nicely decorated and very clean. Also nicely located on the water. The owners communicated well and seemed friendly in their messages. Two things would make the property better - bug screens on more windows so they can be left open and light blocking blinds in one of the bedrooms. Main issue is the unfortunate fact the train track is close and I woke up twice from trains passing in the middle of the night."

"The home was lovely and well-appointed and was very comfortable for 6 adults. The house was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, and cooking utensils, etc...There is a bathroom on each of the three floors which was very convenient - showers on the second and third floors. The house is very close to Middlebury College and the main shopping district - about a one minute drive. Our stay was very comfortable - thank you."
