Everything about this property was fantastic! The accommodations were exceedingly comfortable. Anything you could possibly need was there. The view was spectacular. Everything down to the tiniest detail was well thought out and designed from having music playing throughout the home to providing glitzy costumes for the disco to having binoculars available for viewing eagles!

Wonderful getaway!

Loved the expansive property with so much to do on site. The pool, game room, and disco were fun, as was kayaking on the Cohansey. That said, the best feature by far were the chaise lounges on the back patio overlooking the river watching bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, wrens, and blackbirds. Tom was a great host and ensured we had a great time. Definitely want to come back!

Wonderful stay on the river

The stay was fantastic, it is right on the river, fishing was good (caught some huge catfish), the pool was A+ for hot days, and we had an overall wonderful time. Kitchen was extremely well stocked, plenty of space for sleeping and hanging out, and a fire under the stars is a special treat we were able to enjoy.

Perfect getaway…

First off Tom was the best host to deal with, hands-down. The place is exactly what it’s cracked up to be and wish we had more time to spend there, but we were down for a world sporting clay championship event and were away most of the day. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Labor Day Weekend Retreat

We all enjoyed our stay at The Sora, so rich in history and such a tranquil place to kick back and enjoy just being together! Nothing like sitting out by the water in the morning, enjoying my coffee, while sitting just a few feet away from an American Bald Eagle. I hope to go back again with my kids and my grandchildren as my family continues to grow.

Super Impresssed!

Was absolutely breathtaking here..This property is just heavan! The house was Impeccably clean and smelled so good. We loved all the details and the stunning historic decor! Was perfect for our family and so thoughtfully stocked and labeled with anything you can think of..From chargers to flashlights, games, books and binoculars for bird watching! We enjoyed every min with the gorgeous lake views..was so relaxing and so much to do! The hot tub and the fire pit were a hit with our boys! Tom was super accommodating and responsive.This was truly an unforgettable family getaway..so hard to leave! We must come back!

Wonderful setting for a family reunion

Couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable and beautiful setting for a long delayed family reunion. Tom’s property is extremely well maintained, appointed and stocked with every amenity you could think of. The kids in the family had a great time, and the adults enjoyed the beautiful views and many places on property to explore. Tom was beyond responsive to every message and question, and just so kind and hospitable. Highly recommend!

Amazing property, second visit

Tom’s property is truly amazing. Went with a group of friends in May and booked our most recent trip shortly after leaving. The house had everything you could ever need and is so welcoming. The pool and hot tub are amazing. The kitchen is the best equipt one I’ve ever seen in a rental property. Already looking forward to returning again soon!

Fabulous!

Our family had the best time here. It is the nicest place we've stayed at yet. It is exactly as pictured. Contemporary with an historical flavor. My wife and I are pretty picky about things, but we found "Sora" to be immaculate. Clean, well stocked with any and all items you may need. Had an IPAD Alexa, and charging stations all over. Beds were so comfortable. Linens, pillows, blankets, towels, etc. all high end. So organized and ready to go as soon as you arrive. The pool was great. Lots of games both indoor and outdoor for your use. Easy check in and check out. Only negative was poor cell service (actually a positive, depending on how you look at it). Book it!

Amazing Getaway

This was honestly the best vacation home I have ever visited. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the house has everything you could possibly need. My friends and I stepped out of our cars and immediately didn’t want to leave. It’s peaceful, offers lots of fun activities, and the natural surroundings can’t be beat. I’ll be booking another stay!!

Hidden Gem!

Our family of four just stayed here in Jan 2022 and we couldn't be happier with our stay from all facets. The private location can't be beat, like staying on your own compound, to the architectural design of the home, balanced furnishings combining new and old, to the comfy beds, cozy family room with electric fireplace and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay! The house is not particularly large but perfect size for our family and we didn't even use the other separate dwelling/guest suite. What makes this stay stand out was not just the beautiful home inside and out, but the extra little things and attention to detail that the owner took time to make your stay so enjoyable, down to the charging cords in the bedrooms, to the labeling of drawers and baskets, to the Faux Fur coats and bathrobes for the outside fireplace and hot tub! (P.s. the coats came in very handy and my husband remarked how warm they were as he put another log onto the outside fire pit, while my boys and I watched from the hot tub!) Will definitely be returning and looking forward to staying here in the spring and summer time to enjoy this gem even further!

Favorite Vrbo. Definitely a slice of paradise

I'd leave Tom five 5 star reviews if possible. The house was super clean and beautiful. Beds were superrr comfy. Gorgeous views. Everything was perfect. Tom is the definition of a superhost and has everything covered. He should be training other Vrbo Hosts. Anytime i messaged him before the stay he responded normally in minutes if not a hour or two MAX. While at the house i called him on two different days for a quick question locating things and he answered first ring, thanks again for the smores sticks! He was super nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much for an awesome end of summer

Incredibly fun and relaxing stay

We visited the Sora to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with a few close friends of ours and we all had the best time! The home is beautiful and we loved all of the original/antique touches. The views were so pretty during the day. We had a great time in the game room and also in the detached garage for karaoke. Tom was beyond accommodating and has truly created a relaxing environment on the water. We had the best time!

The Sora

The Sora was one of the best houses I have ever rented!! I went with a group of friends who just wanted a girls weekend away before a wedding. The house was spotless, well organized and the exterior was beautifully landscaped. Tom (the owner) has gone the extra mile with this house & laid out the house so you have everything you could ever possibly need at your fingertips - a kitchen full of every appliance/dish, a game room, sound machines in the bedrooms, hot tub towels, outlets/plugs galore and everything is beautifully labeled!! Tom was so responsive & communicative. This is a real hidden gem in southern NJ that we definitely want to rent again!!

Much needed retreat!

We absolutely loved this house and property. We cooked, fished, played games outside, had fire and just enjoyed our time visiting with old friends. Tom has thought of everything to make the place extra comfortable, with fans, white noise machines, phone chargers, bathroom amenities, extra pillows, and an honors bar! What more could you ask for? Great for our small wedding!

Tom is the most amazing host! He was so helpful, accommodating, and thoughtful. The house and grounds are beautiful, well-kept, and cozy and you absolutely cannot beat the sunset view! We will definitely be back!

So Cozy and Welcoming

There were many extra welcoming touches including great kitchen supplies, very comfortable bedding, and fun outside seating overlooking the river. The wildlife were entertaining and the lane walk enchanting. We really enjoyed our stay!

Fun getaway!

Beautiful property on the river with fantastic sunsets. The house is decorated very stylish but at the same time very comfortable. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this spot to anyone!
