"Two separate electrical faults. One caused a flame to shoot out the wall melting the wires in the kitchen socket, the other melted the wires in the immersion heater meaning no hot water for several days. A door fell off in the kitchen, and the upstairs landing storage heater wires had been cut and disconnected so it was freezing upstairs at night. I was told by the electrician that came out several times that the owner of the property liked to ‘tinker’ with the electrics hence the botched up...

"This is a great place to stay if you want good access to central Keswick , shops, restaurants and pubs . The property is spotless and has everything you need in a self catering property. It was lovely and warm and the bed, large and comfy . The parking was close by and although it was a tight fit with our large car we managed it. We did rely on the considerate parking of others to ensure we could get our car in and out without having to manoeuvre too much , and on one occasion couldn’t get it...

"Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door.
