3rd year in a row to stay there! Absolutely love it there and the dogs love the yard!!! Everything is clean and kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and small appliances...love the lake and the sunsets!!! And don't forget to see the white schools at Brevard College!

We were very pleased and happy with the home. There were kyacks and a canoe that we used almost everyday. The grandchildren swam and played in the lake. The road up to the home was 1.9 miles and our daughter ran on it everyday for a total of four miles a day. Quite the workout! The owner supplied plenty of towels, tissues, paper towels dish soap and dishwasher detergent. There also was tide available if you didn’t bring your own. The home was clean and comfortable and the host was readily available for any questions that we may have had. I would definitely recommend staying here! Thoroughly enjoyable!!

Lake house

I loved everything about the place other than you have to take the trash in town to dispose of. Which means we had to make extra trips with stinky trash in my SUV, did not like that.

Perfect remote mountain getaway

This property was the perfect remote getaway. The house was well stocked, clean and comfortable. The area is beautiful and has a lot of options for hiking and other outdoor activities. Will definitely consider returning another time.

Family Getaway

What a fantastic Getaway with the Family. The cabin was everything that was described and more. This is the perfect spot for a quiet, relaxing vacation. I would highly recommend this cabin. Also, the owner responded in a timely manner to any questions we had.

Gorgeous views!

We had an amazing stay at this cabin in North Carolina! The breathtaking views and spacious property were perfect for our family of six. The ping pong table and pool table added so much fun to our evenings. The only downside was the garbage situation at the end of our stay ,we had to take the trash with us in the car to dispose of it, which was inconvenient. It would also have been nice to have some fishing rods available for the gorgeous lake in the backyard . overall a fantastic stay. .

Lovely cabin

We loved our stay, the beds were so comfy. The lake was beautiful. It did rain a lot, but we still had a great time. My only complaint would be that if you have children who tend to get loud when excited or are playing then it will definitely disturbed the neighbors and they may call the owners on you. I’ve been using VRBO for a long time and I’ve never had this happen. But there is a sign that says to watch your noise, but my children being loud were bothersome to the neighbors. And then after that, I kind of felt like I had to constantly be like be quiet use soft voices. But that is my only complaint. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Independence Day Getaway

All of my family lives in the low country of South Carolina, and we decided to beat the heat by escaping to the mountains for our Independence Day. This was the perfect house and the perfect location to do just that. The house was spotless. I thoroughly enjoyed waking up early in the morning to take out one of the canoes or kayaks to go fishing. Some of the best hikes in the country are less than 30 minutes away. If you come during the 4th of July, you’re in for a special treat as one of the neighbors launches fireworks on the dam at the other end of the lake. I cannot recommend this house enough for your summer getaway.

Simply Serene

This property is just as advertised! This is the second time we have booked a property from Mr. Kennedy in this area, and it won't be the last. We love the quiet of the lake, and the closeness to other activities. The only sad thing for us is our oldest daughter couldn't join us for our getaway.

Great Place to Stay

The home was very clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. We enjoyed the quiet location overlooking the lake. Canoeing on the lake was also fun. Communication was easy with quick responses.

Peaceful Tranquility!

My husband and I needed an escape to the mountains and this awesome cabin on a quiet lake fit the bill! It was one of the nicest and well-maintained properties we’ve rented through VRBO. Beautiful, quiet surroundings and just minutes from Brevard, NC (highly recommend dining at the Blind Mule in Brevard). Owners are responsive and easy to work with. We’d stay here again!

Remote Tranquility

My family LOVED staying in this great cabin on this lovely small lake!! Good fishing and peaceful canoeing ruled the days. Kids enjoyed the pool and ping pong tables to break up the outside time. Cabin was very well stocked, cozy and comfortable. Deck with the lake view was super relaxing! If you want some civilization for the day, Brevard was just a 25 minutes drive.

Perfect!

Property was perfect for our family. Cabin was beautiful and had everything you could need. The kids loved the ping pong and pool tables. Whole family enjoyed time on the lake. Host was very responsive. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our quick weekend away.

Beautiful location and stay

We came to the area with family for spring break. Though it was chilly we still enjoyed the water and some outdoor time. The house was in a great location and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Close to some beautiful trails and overlooks.

great place to relax and unwind

if you are looking for a place to just go and relax and decompress than this is the place to go. This is our second time staying here and each time we love it a little more than the last time. It is clean and well kept, Paul is easy to get in touch with if you have any questions or concerns, check in/out is an easy process. Would highly recommend!!
