Flawless Family Getaway – From Rooms to Pool to Party Space

Our family reunion at this property was absolutely perfect! The various room configurations suited all family sizes beautifully, and the family party room was ideal for gathering, conversing, and playing games. The pool area became a favorite hangout spot throughout the day. The catering staff was brilliant—breakfast options were delicious and satisfying, and our specially requested dinner was exceptional, truly worthy of a starred restaurant. The property manager was outstanding, promptly answering questions both before and during our stay. Every detail was thoughtfully provided, making the experience seamless and memorable. Overall, the value was well worth the rates. Highly recommended!

This property is amazing. Ruth and the entire staff went over the top to make this the best weekend for my daughters 14th birthday. We had 11 girls and they had a ball. Highly recommend. And so beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Beautiful stay

We stayed at PermaVista Ranch for our son's wedding in Brenham. What a beautiful home! It has plenty of bedroom's all spread out for 16 people...which we loved. The party room was our epicenter because there is something for everyone...pool, shuffleboard, games, tv, etc. The breakfast provided by the chef every morning was amazing. The tennis court, play area and swimming pool/hot tub were a hit with everyone. Working with Ruth was easy from day 1. She was very quick to respond to an email before our stay or any question while we were in the home. The home is beautifully decorated and you can see it is a treasured home for a beautiful family with a lot of memories. Our family now has our own wonderful memories to add to it.

A great place for a guys weekend getaway

Our group of 8 guys had a great weekend at the ranch. Ruth was very helpful in coordinating food and activities for us. The food was good, and they cooked plenty for our entire group. We had an awesome time hanging out in the big game room, swimming, and playing sports on the tennis court. There was plenty of space for every guy to have his own room, and we would definitely consider returning next year. The biggest con of the property is that the bedrooms/bathrooms are all dated and could use a remodel (or at the very least... a significant deep-clean, repainting, etc). This wasn't a big deal for our group of guys, as we spent very little time in our rooms, but it would make me think twice if I was booking a weekend here with all couples.

The Most Amazing Breathtaking Property

This is the second time our team has stayed at the Permavista Ranch. The last time was July of 2021. All I can say is we’ve tried other properties over the years but after this trip we’ve all agreed moving forward our offsite home away from home will be here and here only. From courteousness of the entire staff, the amazing chefs that prepared our meals and the Amazing Horse Trainer Elise why would anyone go anywhere else. There are several rooms to house meetings, the game room house is amazing. The main house is simply stoic and the multiple single rooms allows for privacy for 10 people with ease!

Great sizzling ranch experience to gather with our extended family to celebrate our 50th.. used the entire space from the tennis court to the horseback riding. Hot breakfast every morning was a real treat.

Amazing Staff and Location

We reserved Permavista for a business outing. The communication prior to arrival was outstanding and all of our questions were answered in a timely manner. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the location and premises were beautiful. The onsite chef prepared an amazing meal that was enjoyed by all. We can't wait to return again next year!

Fantastic weekend!

Our extended family of 16 persons (ages 3 years to 79) had a wonderful weekend at PermaVista Ranch. Our hostess, Ruth, was super, always available and made sure we had everything we needed. The entire facility is pristine, well kept and has great view of the countryside. The ranch has so many things that our kids and grandkids (and their spouses) enjoyed; like the basketball and tennis courts (we also did pickle ball on the tennis court), the pool table and shuffleboard, the firepit where we made smores one night, and especially the swimming pool and hot tub. We didn't watch much TV but we did find that getting the TVs to work was very tricky (need right HDMI input, need to make sure all "boxes" are turned on, etc.). We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts which included everything you would want and cooked by four gentlemen who also provided excellent table service. For other meals, we did our own cooking and found plenty of cooking equipment available in the kitchen, including a huge outside gas grill. We definitely would return to PermaVista for another family get together.

The Perfect Place

PermaVista Ranch is just excellent in every way! It is a top notch, well operated, well maintained guest ranch…beautiful spaces inside and out…beautiful views of the rolling hills…well planned for privacy for every rental space. There is an ambiance of peace and calm, yet so many activities in which to participate in! Our family enjoyed the horseback riding from our youngest grand, the teens, the early twenties and the parents! When the rain arrived, there is shuffle board, pool, a giant TV and bar in the game room. No one was left out of the fun. The food was fabulous and the staff lovely. This is truly the Perfect Place!

16 person family vacation

Our 16 person family stayed here, and wow, what a property! Pros: -It's huge! There are plenty of beds for all. -Awesome party house with all the fixings. -Pool and view were beautiful! -Breakfasts were delicious and the staff was very kind (one of the chefs even graciously substituted a different beverage for us!) -Management, was fairly responsive via text. -The lawn and grounds were lovely and well taken care of. -They provided plenty of soap and dish detergent for us. -Flexible arrival and departure times - a big plus with multiple families! Cons: -It's huge! Not the best for families with baby monitors and napping children, as the signals do not reach from house to house. -Wifi is very, very spotty. -One fridge/freezer did not work/keep things frozen, and when this issue was brought to the manager it was basically dismissed completely. -Toxic high-fragrance detergent and dryer sheets used on bedding and towels. -They actually shocked the pool during the morning of one of our days (the sunniest day by far!) and we couldn't use it for six hours. -It was unsettling when staff, whom we weren't notified about, were coming right into the house without knocking to use the restroom in the main house. -Main house could use some updating and the addition of plastic bowls and plates for kiddos.

Beautiful week at a Beautiful property

The property worked for all of us, from the 2 year olds to the 80 year olds. Breakfast was wonderful, not only the food but the chance to gather at the beginning of the day. We ended the day in the party room. Perfect

Friends reunion

Our group of 6 couples plus kids had a great time - home exceeded all expectations. Room to spread out on the property, plenty to keep the kids busy, and breakfast every morning was fantastic. Definitely recommend hiring the chef for dinner one night, that turned out to be a highlight!

Family weekend

We had a great time. The property was the perfect size for our group of 15. We were very comfortable. Had fun in the pool and in the party house game room. Breakfast was the BEST ever! Would definitely go again and recommend it!

Exactly As Advertised and Hoped For

This property was perfect for my group of 22 people from infants to 60+. The available activities right on property were plenty to keep all engaged, having fun and laughing. I'd list a couple but that wouldn't be fair to the others. My family was there for a reunion and I believe we experienced the best we could've ever hoped for. The chefs were marvelous, the food was spot on they kept the kitchen and dining room clean as well presented the meals beautifully. We never ran out of food for any breakfast and we had them prepare one dinner for us. They did a great job all four days we were there. The property manager was incredibly responsive for all of our needs, no matter how small. She ensured that we had everything we we paid for and was promised. The horse trainer that took my group out for rides was great as well. She was very patient and friendly and great with the young children as well as the older 'kids' that wanted to go faster with the horses. The property was so perfect for my reunion that I've already reserved the it for my next one next year! I haven't stayed at any other VRBOs before this one so I don't have anything to compare it to. But it's hard for me to imagine they come much better than this one. I would recommend to anybody that's considering it.

Annual Family getaway

This place was sooo amazing. Plenty of room for everyone. Kids & adults loved the horseback riding. Pool time was certainly enjoyed each day. The big delicious breakfast prepared each morning was such a treat as we were all able to sit down together at the same time to eat & spend some quality family time around the table.
