Homey and luxurious

Great location

We had a great time! The property is really nice and well appointed. Quiet neighborhood. House fit our family well. Love that every bedroom has a King bed and en suite bath. Very close to Main Street. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great location, great house set up

We were fifty yards from the Gondola to Peaks 7 and 8. The layout of the house was spacious and great for multiple couples with 4 bedrooms all with bath and king beds. I look forward to going back

Great location and stat

The location is perfectly located to hop on the gondola, or walk out the back door and start a hike. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Only recommendation would be to add a bunch of drinking glasses. There were only a couple and we could have used more. Awesome stay!

Great Stay In Shock Hill

We had an absolute great time staying at Chateau Shock Hill. There were a few issues with the home but the management company was quick to get things right. We were two families with a total of 11 people and we had plenty of space. The location could not have been better for access to the mountain and town.

Breckenridge Feb Ski Vacation

Property is an easy walk to the gondola to peak 7 and then peak 8. Not a far of a "schlep" for kids between the ages of 7 and 10. The house had all amenities needed to cook dinner for 7. The Nordic track behind the house served as a sledding hill for the kids. I would recommend the Shock Hill neighborhood for those wanting to rent a house instead of paying the same price for a slopeside hotel room.

Awesome stay!

This house was absolutely beautiful and a super easy walk to the gondola connect. We wrote it to Peak seven where we went to the spa and then back down again. there was nothing I would change about the stay beautiful house, beautiful location, and wish we could’ve stayed longer! We will definitely be back!

This Place has it all Location Location Location

We had family of 8 stayed for Christmas week 2023 This house is large enough that everyone has room and you do not feel crowded Master bed room is perfect with fireplace and large bathroom plenty of room for everyone we have elderly grandparents and they could ride the Gondola to town and avoid the traffic will be back thank you

Fantastic Location and beautiful home

Great stay but some attention is needed to amenities (missing remotes for TV, cooking utensils limited and chipped dinnerware and coffee cups. Other than that would definitely go again..

Dream Ski Location for Family of All Ages

We stayed here over Christmas with my parents (70+), my spouse & myself (30’s-40’s), our 3 older kids (21, 18, 15) & our 1.5 yr old baby. The location is PERFECTION— those going downhill skiing hopped on the gondola just steps from our house to go UP the mountain, while the grandparents & baby hopped on the Gondola to go DOWN the mountain straight to main street Breckenridge. Those going Nordic skiing simply walked out the back patio! For a group of people who aren’t all downhill skiers, this is more ideal than being slopeside & ski in/ski out… it offered the best of all worlds. The rooms & kitchen were well stocked, the hot tub was amazing, there was a super impressive collection of board games in the home we took advantage of, and the shared spaces were cozy. Lastly, the property management was professional and extremely responsive— we were so grateful for their communication throughout the process. For a comfortable and convenient, high quality, low maintenance ski vacation— we highly recommend!!

Perfect Winter Sports Getaway

This property was immaculate! Extremely clean upon arrival and super easy checking. This kitchen was perfectly stocked with anything you could need. We had family members of all ages, and the home had multiple board games which made for a fun time. I couldn’t be happier with the location. I’ve heard of this neighborhood but never stayed before, and now I don’t think I could go again without staying here. The gondola access is worth every penny.

Great couples getaway!

Perfect for a couples getaway with friends and family. Top of the line amenities, spacious, en suites with every bedroom, large clean hot tub, comfy beds, easy check-in and out. Great location that’s close to downtown, skiing, and hiking trails behind the house. We all loved our stay and will definitely rent again.

Great Stay and Convenient To Gondola

Our stay was great and the house exceptional. I will say that I was disappointed to see that a few items that were issues in a prior review were still not fixed(specifically the steam shower is broken and the outdoor fireplace does not work). Overall the house is cozy and clean, the the kitchen is well stocked and the convenience of ski in and out was really nice.

Great location, quality home, but minor problems added up

Agreed with previous reviews that the home is beautiful and the location is fantastic. BUT - a number of minor issues occurred which marred what could have been a perfect stay: * Hot water heater stopped working on the first night and showers were ice cold the next morning. Found and reset the unit in the garage (the "needs maintenance" indicator didn't go off, but it gave us hot water after an hour). The management company said since it was working they'd fix it after we left. * The whole home stereo system seemed to be broken. Wall controls buttons didn't work 90% of the time, we got it to turn on once (BLASTING the radio) and couldn't get it to turn off for 15 excruciatingly loud minutes (controls said "communication error"). We didn't touch the stereo controls again for the rest of the trip when we finally got it to turn off by mashing the OFF button repeatedly. * The lights in the dining area were finicky. Some lights wouldn't turn on in the morning, it seemed like until some random time in the afternoon (almost as if the switches were on a timer?) We ended up leaving the dining lights on overnight for the rest of the trip so we wouldn't end up in the dark if the light switch wasn't working again in the morning. * Outdoor fireplace did not turn on (broken?) * Primary bedroom steam shower controls were taped over with black tape (broken?) * For a 4-bedroom home, the washer/dryer was too small All the mentioned issues were minor, but there were so many of them! Better attention to detail during maintenance would have made our "good" stay an "excellent" one instead.

We had the most amazing time at this home. It is even better than the listing suggests. Perfect location to the gondola, kitchen is stocked so well (we cooked a lot), rooms are huge and it's so nice that each one has its own full bath. It definitely exceeded our expectations and we will be back!

Nice place but needs some work

It was a beautiful home located in a very nice neighbor and we did enjoy our stay for the most part. That was the good part. Now for the bad part about the home. Whomever is taking care of this home really should do a much better taking care of it for the owners. The first day we arrived we found the garbage disposal wasn't working so we contacted them. The next day they sent someone out. The bad part was they sent out a guy who's only job seemed to be resetting breakers or hitting reset buttons. He knew absolutely nothing about replacing garbage disposals. He told us they would need to send someone else out but didn't specify when. In the meantime we couldn't use the kitchen sink. After a couple days of calling they finally sent someone out. Next the home has a washer and dryer which you would think would be great, especially for the price the home costs to rent but the units need replacing. The dryer barely drys anything and neither hold very many clothes. Next the toilet in one of the rooms on the second floor needs the guts replaced because the only way to flush it is to take the off the lid to the tank and manually make it flush. We told management about it and they said they would send someone out to repair it but they never did. Then the third floor bathroom sink faucet handle is messed up and won't turn on. Finally the third floor bathtub water will only get luke warm. Hopefully when we decide to visit Breckenridge again and need to rent a home all these these things will have been repaired and we can chose this home.
