I want to start with the positive. My room was clean, including the linens. The bathroom was nice and fairly updated. My interactions with the front desk were positive.
The negative: the lobby was very dirty and looked run down. On my first night, I asked for a new room because I was traveling alone (and a woman) and was originally placed on the first floor with my door across from the stairwell. While deadbolted, it was an adjoining room and I was able to open my door to the other door. The curtains didn't close all the way so people in the parking lot could see directly into my room. The clerk at the front desk was helpful and gave me a new room. However, the screws had been loosened on the door lock in that one. I was able to tighten them and it was so late by that point that I didn't want to ask for yet another room, but it didn't feel like the safest place. There were people yelling in the halls and in the parking lot at night. Overall, if given a choice, I would try to book another hotel if I travel to the area again.
