I want to start with the positive. My room was clean, including the linens. The bathroom was nice and fairly updated. My interactions with the front desk were positive. The negative: the lobby was very dirty and looked run down. On my first night, I asked for a new room because I was traveling alone (and a woman) and was originally placed on the first floor with my door across from the stairwell. While deadbolted, it was an adjoining room and I was able to open my door to the other door. The curtains didn't close all the way so people in the parking lot could see directly into my room.The clerk at the front desk was helpful and gave me a new room. However, the screws had been loosened on the door lock in that one. I was able to tighten them and it was so late by that point that I didn't want to ask for yet another room, but it didn't feel like the safest place. There were people yelling in the halls and in the parking lot at night. Overall, if given a choice, I would try to book another hotel if I travel to the area again.

The night staff was awesome. The day staff was loud and kept going outside to smoke. The pool was clean for the most part but I had to pull multiple large clumps of floating hair out of the pool.

This place was decorated very nice for Fall and the staff was very friendly. My room was very clean and the shower was great. My bed wasn’t comfy to me though, I didn’t sleep great and woke up sore. But breakfast was good and I liked the overall location of the hotel.

Our room had black out curtains that did not work/or cover the entire window so a light from the parking lot shone in the window all night. The bed was so bad as well. They should call it the Dis-Comfort Inn and we paid $400 bucks for one night.

We had an emergency and had to cut short our stay (2 nights instead of 3). The manager, Kareana, was so kind and thoughtful in giving us a refund for the night even though we had booked the room. Many thanks!! Location is very good: close to Rt. 91 as well as Brattleboro.

Upgrade the curtains and all is well!
There is an easy upgrade that this hotel needs do to make it much better for guests. The curtains/shades are completely insufficient to block the light from the security lights outside the hotel. If I hadn't had an eye mask with me I doubt I would have slept much during my night at the Comfort Inn because I need a dark room to sleep well. Everything else at the hotel was very nice. But the insufficient curtains are a HUGE issue. Maybe it doesn't even impact all rooms, but the hotel needs to make some changes.
