Relaxing stay near Brantôme

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay in this lovely gîte. Sandra and Alun gave us a very warm welcome and were very helpful on where to visit and recommendations on where to eat. The accommodation is very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by and using the pool. We particularly enjoyed exploring Brantôme, Périgueux, Bourdeilles, the caves at Villars and the surrounding area. We highly recommend this gîte and would stay here again. Thank you Sandra and Alun

Brilliant Brantome

We have just spent three wonderful weeks at this location just outside Brantôme. Alun and Sandra are lovely people who are always at hand if required .The accommodation is well equiped in terms of fridge, freezer, cooker, comfortable bed and lounge. The pool and outside seating area was much appreciate. Once again thank you both for helping make our holiday truly memorable one.

Very Relaxing Holiday

The property was as advertised, comfortable, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. There were some charming towns and villages to visit within a short drive. The pool was well maintained and inviting and used only by us. Sandra and Alun were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent Gite

We had 2 weeks in this very comfortable Gite. The location was quiet & peaceful. Fully lived up to the description on line. Very nice friendly owners, who made us very welcome. Beautiful views, lovely pool. Nothing negative to say about it.

Classic French with a pool in quiet location

Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough.

Nice little quiet place to stay

Nicely secluded spot to spend a week or so. Sandra and Alun were always ready to help where required but did respect our privacy. The weather was not the warmest (average 22-23 degrees) but still had a great time. The week before was apparently late 30-40 degrees which would have been a struggle due to lack of air-conditioning.

Dordogne Adventure

A fantastic little gite in an ideal location where hosts Sandra and Alun couldn't do enough for us. Only a short distance from Brantome where you'll find a collection of bars and restaurants set upon the riverside. The pool is amazing with stunning views, what a find - thankyou.

Hôtes tres agreables

Le logement est vaste mais bas de plafond 1.90 la piscine est à l'usage exclusif des locataires avec une superbe vue. Les proprietaires sont charmants nous invitant accueillir les pêches du jardin le raisin cherchant toujours à faire plaisir. Sandra la propriétaire vient même changer le linge à la moitié du séjour la laverie de leur maison est accessible aux locataires seul problème est que le logement sent l'humidité. La piscine le jardin et le calme restent les atouts majeurs.

We had a fantastic time at the site. The house is very clean and has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. The bedroom stays cool on hot days. There is a big pool outside which is perfect on hot days. You can sit outside under the pergola next to the pool, where you have a beautiful view over the area. The holiday home is located on a hill (great view), close to a forest for nice walks. There is a château nearby where you can walk towards. Alun & Sandra are lovely people, they give you a warm welcome on arrival, They are always available for questions or for a little chat. Alun cleans the pool daily and Sandra makes sure you have plenty of fresh towels available. There is plenty to do in the area, Brantome is close by (5 minute drive) where there is a great bakery & 2 supermarkets. There is a nice market on Friday. There are plenty of château's in the area, you have very nice walks close by, you can also rent a canoe in brantome. We would highly recommend spending your holiday here!

Lovely - Relaxing Stay

The property was in a great location to get out and about. Sandra and Alun are fabulous hosts, around when you need them but not overbearing. The bed was very comfortable, the pool cleanliness was well maintained by Alun. Thank you both for making us feel so welcome and at home.

Onbezorgd relaxen

Zeer ruime vakantiewoning en volledig ingericht. Rustige omgeving en het zwembad is een soort "kers op de taart". Bijzonder vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw en gastheer.

A SUPERB GITE IN A WONDERFUL LOCATION

We really enjoyed our stay. The Gite itself is very comfortable with an extensive kitchen and large bedroom and lounge. It is well furnished and there is a large modern shower room and toilet. The swimming pool,patio and outside eating areas are really good.The location is superb with nearly 360d far reaching views across fields and woods.Our hosts Sandra and Alan were attentive and pleasant company when we met them from time to time.

Heat Wave

With the thermometer nudging forty degrees the pool was delightful. So much so that we hardly ever left this lovely property and even stayed for a few extra days. Would highly recommend this gite. Alun and Sandra were good hosts, unobtrusive but friendly and helpful. Five stars all round.

Superbe!

Accueil très chaleureux de la part de Sandra et Alun. Nous avions à notre arrivée (assez tardive, 21H30) un plateau de bienvenue avec vin, fromage et pain... adorable! La propriété est belle, la piscine super. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'emplacement en campagne à 5mn en voiture de Brantome, joli petit village surnomé la Venise du Périgord. Endroit charmant et apaisant

Petite location dans cadre de verdure magnifique. Propriétaire très agréable et sympathique. Parfait pour se reposer et se rafraichir avec la piscine. Seul bémol, le lit avec un matelas à ressort pas très agréable. Toutefois, merci pour votre accueil et toutes les petites attentions à notre arrivée.

Hôtes accueillants et discrets, anglophones. Plateau d’accueil fort sympathique. Endroit parfait après une journée de visites: la piscine, le jardin, la tranquillité,... Seul bémol pour nous : l'inconfort des lits pour nos dos.
