A Gloripus Escape!

Wonderful getaway

Beautiful Crosslake Getaway

Beautiful cabin, everything was so lovely and thoughtfully designed/decorated. We loved the wood burning fireplace, screen porch and windows facing the lake. The cabin was a great size and layout for our family of 5, and we also greatly appreciated being able to bring our dog. We heard loons every night and morning, which added to the “up north” magic. The hosts were great to work with and very fast to respond to questions. We hope to return for another family getaway in the future!

Calming Spring Escape

We had such a nice time getting away for just a couple of days with the whole family and pups. Even though there was some surprising Spring snow, we enjoyed soaking in the views and taking walks, roasting marshmallows, playing games, cooking together, reading and watching movies. The property is carefully appointed and upscale for a cabin but still super comfy. O’Brien Lake is so calm and quiet—we even got to watch a pair of swans swim around all afternoon one day. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Beautiful Cabin With Charm Around Every Corner

Our group of 7 had the best time here. The cabin was absolutely lovely. We especially loved the fireplace, gorgeous views & Sonos speaker system. All of the beds are comfy. We saw a fox running across the frozen lake, swans, various rare water birds, turkeys, deer & an unusually large number of melanistic (black) squirrels. The kitchen was well stocked. The space is set up so thoughtfully & the attention to detail was noticed. Its warm & inviting. Communication with our hosts was easy & responses always came immediately. This definitely was our best VRBO experience uet.

Family getaway

Enjoyed a cozy, peaceful getaway. Perfect spot if you’re needing to get out of town and reset. From the wood burning fire place, the spa like showers and the tranquil nature surroundings, this cabin is a must. Communication with property manager was excellent and the cabin was very clean.

Midwinter Family Getaway

This property is exactly what you see in the amazing photos and more! It really was beyond our expectations and an amazing experience for our children ages 1-13. There was plenty of space and comfort for all our children to spread out, relax and enjoy and room for the adults to have quiet space as well. This luxury cabin is fully stocked and set up for you to enjoy. The view was picturesque and so peaceful from the large abundant windows. The hosts were nearby and responsive, but gave us total privacy. They quickly plowed and shoveled in the morning after an overnight snowfall. I highly recommend this property for a memorable family vacation!

Cozy fireplace

We rented this cabin for a family getaway for 4 days. The cabin is quite large with good sleeping areas, as well as a large living room with a woodburning fireplace. The outdoor temperature during our stay was 15 below, which was just perfect for lounging and watching the fire. We played games while listening to the crackling fire. Wood is supplied, so all we had to do was bring it indoors. This is the second time we have rented this cabin. Matt and Renee are excellent hosts and make sure your stay is an enjoyable one. If the temperature permits, you could enjoy some ice fishing. Definitely worth your time to try this cabin and all it has to offer.

Wonderful place!

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy Northern Minnesota. Everything is beautifully maintained at this lovely cabin. The fireplace and living room are super cozy and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Absolutely loving place!

Getaway O'Brien Lake

Cabin was very comfortable and clean. Was nice that kitchen was well equipped with whatever you would need to make any kind of meal. All appliances were in great working order.Nice to have the use of pontoon boat. Hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Very nice cabin

We had a great time and were lucky to have perfect weather. The cabin is super cute and looks just like the pictures. The kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfy and ample firewood provided. We enjoyed using the pontoon that is included as well. We would love to come back!

Perfectly lazy pines

Loved our second stay at this wonderful property. After cabin hopping the last few years, we came back to this one because of its perfect setup for our smaller group this year. Love the screened-in porch with a birds-eye view of the lake. The beach is perfect for littles. I’m sure we’ll be back!

Perfect Ambience

The lake was as clear as indicated, and taking the pontoon over to the sand bars was great for swimming with both my grandchildren and then with my siblings. The hostess was very accommodating. Listening to the loons each day was a welcome experience. The next time I need a place that big, I would definitely come back. The cabin was very welcoming!

Great stay

We had a wonderful time with our family of 8 and loved being able to bring our pup. The house is very well represented in the pictures, well kept, well furnished and very comfortable. Especially appreciated the little things such as good bedding, towels and household supplies. The highlight was the brand new pontoon boat. We made use of it every day, cruising the lake, stopping for a swim and even successfully fishing. We also found a small rental company on Facebook that delivered 4 kayaks (Adventure to go), Tad was wonderful to work with!! There were a couple small issues that came up during our stay however Renae, the owner who lives next door, was very responsive. She went above and beyond when we realized, on our drive home, that we left a couple items at the cabin…thanks again! The only concern we had was there wasn’t air conditioning on the lower level. The air conditioning on the main floor works very well. The fans provided for the downstairs bedrooms certainly helped but our very pregnant daughter and those sleeping in “the nook” area were warm at night. Overall it was a perfect stay and we would highly recommend. Thank you!
