"Avoid this place.
It is a room. Not an apartment.
Rubbish piled up in the front and rear gardens.
There are rats.
Bathroom is shared, and is tiny, cannot swing a cat in it, but at least a cat would help with the rats.
Kitchen is below bare minimum. 2 cups, 3 plates.
Walls are thin, doors don’t work properly, but eventually lock with enough strength. The feel of the property is like it once housed squatters, and it feels like they will be back soon.

"Unfortunately, the property did not meet reasonable cleanliness or maintenance standards.
On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves.
The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. This is a hygiene issue that should not be present in a paid short-term let.

"2 families stayed whilst visiting Alton Towers. We couldn’t have stayed any closer, The Old Barn literally on the doorstep. The property have a very homely feel which made relaxing easy. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. We could even all sit together around the large table in the kitchen to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet. Outside next to little shop. Traffic island outside meant couldnt park outside and single line. Area around property made us feel unsafe- wasnt the best."

"The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."
