Family vaca

How was clean. Plenty big for everyone. There was some trash under the cabinets in the pool away. And we had to give the bbq pits a good cleaning before using them but not a big deal. Loved watching the horses swim in the bay. And enjoyed riding the horses as well. Highly recommended the horse swim. Our kids really enjoyed the game room. We even added a night we didn’t want to leave.

Beautiful Property/Disappointing Ameniy

Great home and location!! Size and amount of beds and bedrooms was perfect for our family get together of 17 people. Disappointing was the fact that the dock lights did not work the entire time we were at the home. We had fisherman with us that wanted to fish at night and could not. Pool and hot tub heat was included in the rental. They were not warm when we arrived and the property manager told us it takes time to heat. After it not being warm (it was freezing) the next morning we called again. The property manager was very responsive and had an electrician out right away but he determined that the compressor was bad and it was going to be 6-8 weeks for repair. I’m hoping this property is transparent with that information with future people that would like to rent before the end of February. The floors were filthy as feet were black from walking on it. We purposely picked this property because of the amenities and were very disappointed with the non-working items as we had lots of people that wanted to use them and could not.

Family getaway

Over all we had a wonderful stay, plenty of space for our whole group and the house was beautiful. With that said it is an old house and had several minor issues thru out the week. However, the management company was quick to respond and resolved most in a reasonable timeframe.

Fantastic Family Fun!

Great location. Spacious. Kids loved the game room and pool and large backyard for outdoor games. We docked our boat and did short day trips to Anna Marie Island. The kids caught fish and went crabbing. Would highly recommend for a large group.

Great Place for vacations

Great place to stay with large group of family. Very responsive host. Took care of minor issues right away. Also granted a late check out for which we are grateful. Location is by the water has all you'll need. I would recommend some welcome gift such as water or bottle of wine. Other smaller and less expensive places in which I have stayed offer this. I recommend this place for a wonderful vacation.

Soccer tournament vacation

The place and location were perfect. Our only complaint is the ability or willingness to be flexible with check out time and the outside grills did not work well. Even the option to allow extended stay at the guest house to simply allow the kids to shower after their game would have been a nice compromise. Other than that, we would stay in this house again.

Wonderful house! Very comfortable for our family of 19. (8 adults, 11 children). Beautiful setting on Palma Sola bay close to everything one wants to do on a winter Florida vacation. The management company was Ok, and promptly responded to issues at the house. Most of the issues could’ve been handled by meeting us at Check-in on a site walk-through to learned the nuances of a 100 year old complex home with lots of moving parts (3 AC systems, Game Room with arcade, pool & spa, 2 garbage days, boat dock, etc…) The management company instead simply left a welcome book on the counter in need of updates to read. We paid a premium for this home and while the welcome book concept I’m sure works fine on a condo or smaller home, it seemed less than appropriate for this facility and it likely would’ve made our entire experience better. Overall the Plantation home provided a perfect setting to reconnect with our family during the holidays. One local area issue that goes beyond the home & management company, should be, or perhaps is already being addressed. A very popular beach/water Horseback riding experience operates adjacent to this property. The horses prance right in front of the homes waterfront. As you might expect they also leave their droppings in the water. Some of which floats all around the property’s dock and water access. We kept a boat and 2 kayaks at the property and frequently found ourselves dodging floating horse droppings. I can’t imagine that the Horseback riding company has no lean-up responsibility? Before we book this home again we will want some assurance that this issue is addressed.

Fantastic Family Vacation Home

Our 8 adults and 2 toddlers had plenty of elbow room in this well furnished home with a beautiful sunset view. There were pool toys and yard games as well as a pool heated to 83 and a spa that warmed to 104 in about an hour. Benefits included a small sandy area to launch our rented kayaks, boat loads of pool towels and plentiful chef tools. In the kitchen we found a hand mixer, blender, roasting pan, stock pots, buffet warming tray, pod and drip coffee pots, toaster and crock pots. There were both indoor and outdoor dinnerware sets and barware. The property manager was awesome, being attentive to my requests and taking ownership in wanting the home to present in its best light, as if it were her own. Its location is about 4 miles from the nearest Gulf beach - offering a quiet, peaceful environment to enjoy the 180 degree water views while still being a short drive to the celebration vibe of AMI. Even during Thanksgiving week, we had little trouble finding parking once on Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach.

The home is beautiful with a lot of things to do right on the property, with a short drive to the beach as well as the grocery store. We loved the old and the new characteristics in the home. The family all had a wonderful time while staying here. Our family made many great memories during our stay!

Family Vacation

Overall the house was great for our family. Plenty of room. The upstairs was updated as the down stairs living area was not like the photos. The furniture had stains and the house needs some up keep on the bottom level. The porch and pool area was fantastic. This is where we spent most of our time. The dock was great due to we rented a boat for the week. A disclaimer that the water is not swimmable in the back of the house would have been good to know. Bacteria and horses go back and forth all day. The water hose on the dock does not work. We had to buy light bulbs for the pool table area due to several were out. The host was very quick to help with the washer going out and had it fixed same day. Overall the house was great and we enjoyed the stay. One suggestion a additional large fridge for the garage
