Close proximity to get around. Clean, but had a few light bulbs out, bedroom doors stuck, and trash left from previous tenants for us to remove. Notified to checkout 1 hour earlier than what was posted.

Beach Cottage

We loved the beach decor…..curtain starfish ties, shells, whale tail, rattan furniture and bathroom.However, the neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy with several vehicles in many of the yards. Then we were interrupted 3 times during our stay. Two times the police were doing a welfare check at the house (B) behind us which was very disconcerting. Police visited on a rainy night at 10. The second visit was during the day on Thursday morning and we gave police the owners name to contact . On Saturday night while watching tv , a car pulled up behind our car and stayed awhile until a women came out and was walking around the property. My husband came out because she never knocked and asked what she was doing. Again, she was looking for the back property. There was a urine smell which upon arrival, I tried to clean the bathroom floor, but to no avail. The towels looked worn and the shower had a half closure so when you showered, the water would come out on the floor. There were also several holes in the walls and ceiling where television and ceiling lights had been moved, but holes not patched. The air conditioner was set at 72 so you are not in control of the temperature and it got hot at times so luckily I turned the fans to high, closed all the blinds and this helped a little. Although location cannot be changed, it could be a really nice property with a little fixing up and attention to detail.

Peacock bass fishing trip

We needed a place in the area that was large enough to park our boat trailer in, message host fast response he said sure easy to back a boat in our driveway. So we booked it everything was better than expected great location thanks a million will be back thanks Jeff

Overall it was a nice quiet area close to the beach. Owner was very responsive. Home was located 5 min drive to the beach and located near several amenities.

Animal Stench

This house is in a shady part of town, complete with overgrown weeds and bushes in the front yard. It's near 'The Tracks' and yes you can hear the train go by while inside the house with the windows shut. The key box is located way over on the side yard where the neighbor keeps large 2 dogs. Fun time trying to get at that lock box.My husband gets a merit badge for bravery. Good luck to all who attempt that. As soon as you open the door, the stench of animal urine hits you. Apparently, everyone likes to barricade their dogs in the kitchen because that's where the smell originates. Apparently The Liquid Funk is under the laminate flooring and has attached itself to the subfloor. Wiping the laminate floor does absolutely nothing. They did provide 4 different styles of air fresheners. Because perfumes will solve a sanitary issue with the flooring, right? We left within 20 minutes of arriving. The owner told me he would give me a full refund if I left a glowing, positive review. I told him "Hell to the NO". I contacted Vrbo for my FULL refund and I'm here to warn the rest of you. Unless you have zero sense of smell and have excellent self defense skills, keep walking! Better yet, run!!!!

What a perfect place

The location was close to everything a quick car ride to beach food stores and family The house had the most comfortable beds And the house was spotlessly clean Both of us said this is the place for us to book next time we go down to visit grandma. My daughter wanted to point out the cute lizard that came to visit 😂

Conveniently located to family

The property was well located within 8 miles of our family so it worked out very well. The kitchen had nice appliances and plenty of pots and pans, etc. so we could make meals there. The house is pretty small but it was only the two of us and it was pet friendly which was very important to us. We had a couple of little glitches but the owner was very responsive and remedied the issues promptly. We would stay there again when visiting our daughter and grandkids.
