Easter weekend

We had a wonderful, enjoying local hikes and a river rafting trip. The view is worth the booking, but the house is also wonderful. We gave the kitchen a good workout and it had everything we needed for multiple large meals. We just wish we had more time to enjoy the property.

Very nice

Very nicely appointed home with staggering view. A detailed binder left in the kitchen provided very clear instructions on how to use the all the amenities. It also suggested activities and dining choices as well as how to prep the home for your departure. All was appreciated.

Great property

Great property with an incredible view. Brought our 4 kids (3 teens, 1 11 year old) and our dog. The house is well maintained. We would recommend the property to anyone looking for an enjoyable mountain getaway.

Great views at peak fall colors

Nicely furnished and decorated mid-century modern cabin with well equipped kitchen and several great places to lounge both inside and out. Most places are 20-30min away, but recommend Three Fox Vineyard and Brewery in Delaplane, Lost Barrel Brewing in Middleburg, or waking in downtown Winchester. Plenty of places to hike or drive Skyline Dr for more great views.

Oasis of Beauty

Property was well appointed and maintained. The deck, hot tub, and view made this a truly great experience. We would definitely come back. Recommended highlighting steepness of gravel road and need to stock up on all food items prior to visit. Otherwise, it was extremely relaxing and good location for lots of day trips.

This house is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The property owners have thought of everything. There is even bear spray to borrow if you go hiking (we didn't need it but thought it was a nice touch). An added bonus was GORGEOUS sunsets from the balcony and/or hot tub every single night. What a dream. If we return to the area we will absolutely stay here again and recommend to all our friends and family!

Amazing Stay

We visited this property on a girls/moms getaway weekend and had an amazing time. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy as was the couch. We enjoyed the hot tub and the amazing views! The own recommended a nearby winery to visit with excellent wine and food. Would definitely visit again!

Amazing Find!

This place was absolutely awesome. The house itself feels cozy without feeling small or crowded. There are a lot of windows so the house gets plenty of sun which we all loved. There are so many smart details to the house, and the host has beautiful style. And of course, the view is amazing! I can't recommend this place enough! Really, such a find!

If you’re thinking about it, do it! This house is amazing and has everything you need for your stay. The views are awesome too! Just keep in mind you’ll definitely need 4x4 if there’s snow or ice when driving up the driveway

Beautiful home with amazing views!

What a beautiful home with absolutely gorgeous views and sunsets! This house has everything that you could possibly need to spend a very relaxing vacation. You can spend several hours each day just exploring the area and then come back to the house and relax in the hot tub just admiring the beautiful views! We’re already planning our next trip to this beautiful location!

Amazing property! Highly recommend

The house was absolutely stunning - very clean, well decorated, comfortable and cozy, with every amenity you can imagine. The views from the porch were so beautiful and we loved watching the sunset. Service was patchy near the house (in the house the wifi was perfect) so I recommend loading up the map to make sure you know where you’re going towards the end. Host was very responsive and accommodating. We tubed the river and went to Bear Chase Brewing and loved both activities! Went into Front Royal for groceries vs the close small shop (recommend this if you need full cooking groceries) but it was an easy drive and good store. We’d come back for sure!

Amazing home in every aspect!

We loved our stay at this property. We were amazed at how well the home was furnished and decorated. Everything you would need was provided down to cell phone chargers. Sunsets were amazing from the deck, and the fire pit was a big hit! We hope to return to this property next time we explore Shenandoah National Park.

Beautiful view, superbly equipped, excellent condition

We have spent decades vacationing in Outer Banks cottages that were quite nice, but this mountain home near Front Royal outstripped them all. A contemporary remodeling that also seemed to have an old-fashioned coziness about it. So many homes in which we have vacationed seemed to have all the basics, but just barely. This mountain home was awash with extras in the way of conveniences, furnishings, recreational amenities and more. We felt very much at home the minute we walked in. Ed Jones, Richmond Va

Mountain views and peaceful property!

Really nice house...beautifully decorated and lovely views. Morning coffee on the porch was a special treat! We watched gorgeous sunsets, deer grazing below....many birds...just beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed. Linens provided. Owner was responsive and kind. Loved that we could bring our two small dogs. Highly recommend!

Amazing Views, Very Clean House, Cozy Wood Stove and Hot Tub! We'll be back again!

A great family getaway! This home was spectacular - the views and location were amazing and the home was well appointed and very clean. This property feels like a home vs. other bare bones vacation rentals. The home is furnished with high end furniture and decor from west elm, CB2 and other designer grade furniture. The beds were super comfortable and the home has two zone heating/cooling - nice feature. One night we used the wood stove (wood was provided)! So much nearby we were able to explore; antique stores, hiking at Sky Meadows and grabbed sandwiches from the Locke General Store a few miles away toward Berryville, Deleplane Cellars a local vineyard. In the evening enjoyed the huge hot tub! And inside a Shuffleboard Table - kids had a blast! The house didn't stop there; the deck is awesome (with multiple gates to contain pets and children), a screened in porch and stone patio. Dual grills - gas and charcoal. There is a view from almost every room. High speed internet and phone connectivity was great - no issues streaming or making calls. Lastly, there is a general store about a mile that has everything you would need in terms of basic supplies and food items. The host was highly responsive and helpful. By far the best short term rental we have stayed in - 5+ stars! We'll be back again!
