A Perfect Stay in Governor’s Harbour – Can’t Wait to Return!We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful and cozy home in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The property managers, Dom and Joy, were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay—always available to answer questions, offer local recommendations, and ensure everything was perfect.The house itself is charming and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. We especially loved the collection of games, puzzles, and coloring books—perfect for relaxing evenings. One of the sweetest touches was the gorgeous photo book provided as a gift to take home, a lovely keepsake of our time on the island.The location is ideal—just a short 13-minute drive from GHB airport and conveniently close to many of Eleuthera’s most stunning beaches. We spent our days exploring the island and our evenings enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the property.A few highlights that made our stay extra special:A friendly white/tabby cat who visited us daily and quickly became part of our routine.Bountiful mango trees on the property—fresh mangoes right from the tree!A backup generator that kicked in seamlessly during a brief two-hour power outage, ensuring our comfort was never interrupted.This home truly felt like a slice of paradise, and we’re already dreaming of our next trip. Christmas on the Island

The home was an oasis tucked inside a beautiful neighborhood on a spectacular island. The home had everything we needed and very close to restaurants and shops. Joy and Dom were very responsive to all of our needs. The Welcome Book has a great amount of detail on everything you need to know. We’re missing the island and home. It was truly a 5 star experience!

Well-appointed, gorgeous, comfortable stay

Fond Memories was a highlight of our stay in Eleuthera. The property manager was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and offered great tips and information for our first time on the island. The house had everything we needed and an enormous selection of kitchen and bar supplies. The pool is small but lovely, beds were super comfortable, and there were so many great little details. Checkout was very easy. Thanks for a great time!

Loved Fond Memories!

Fond Memories exceeded all expectations! Bright, immaculately clean, well-appointed kitchen (so many tea towels, drawers fully stocked with any gadget necessary- all bases covered), beautiful decor, nice linens. The pool was such a nice addition- so inviting after a day in saltwater. Joy and Dom were wonderful hosts.

We had a great stay at Fond Memories. The house & property exceeded expectations. Joy was easy to communicate with & made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, including a 2nd King bed. The house was full of conveniences & thoughtfull touches, inlcuding Ipad with Blue tooth speakers, all kitchenware & appliances. We found the house very clean & well decorated with comfortable feeling of home. We enjoyed the pool to unwind, after long days at the beach in the sun. I would highly recommend Fond memories to anyone looking for a great place to stay. We hope to visit again soon.

Fond Memories is a wonderful property, the pictures don’t do it justice. The house has everything you could possibly need plus more. Very clean and well thought out, Don and Joy were excellent in getting us acclimated and answering any possible questions and concerns. Definately will be back!

At long last!

I first visited Eleuthera 25 years ago, and had been wanting to come and stay in Governor's Harbour since then. This dream trip was planned three years ago, and due to Covid had to be postponed twice. The disappointment was bad enough, but the property manager, Joy, could not have been more helpful with the rebooking. So eventually, we got there! And the house did not disappoint. Everything, and I mean every detail, was perfect. This is a two bedroom cottage with ample living space, a pool, and beautiful garden. Stylishly done on the inside, and done with high quality fittings (kitchen stuff, lovely bed linen, towels, great picnic equipment, plenty of places for charging devices--everything has been thought out). Joy and Dom were perfect hosts. There were some goodies in the kitchen to welcome us and both were on hand to answer the inevitable questions. I give Joy and Dom as high marks as I give the house :-) They recommended a car rental agency -- Marsha -- which just fit the bill. A fantastic holiday. We will be back.

Its so adorable! Beautiful newly renovated home! Owners have thought of everything, it is perfectly stocked. The home is tastefully decorated with many personal touches. Walking distance to beach, stores, restaurants and more.

The perfect romantic escape!

With all the current Covid stress and disruption, my wife and I needed a peaceful getaway to rest and renew. We could not have picked a more perfect spot. From the moment we walked into Fond Memories, we just exhaled and smiled. Home! A big front porch welcomes you into a very chic and spacious house where great attention has been given to both comfort and style. Every amenity is provided – from a gourmet kitchen to yoga equipment and beach gear. Guest comfort is clearly the dominant theme throughout the house to make sure that all the elements are in place for optimal relaxation. And there is ample and comfortable outdoor seating both on the lower and upper decks. Lots of spaces to relax and sip wine. Which we did. The harbour views from the upper decks are truly awesome! We spent so much time up there both during the day for the view and at night to just stargaze. We definitely recommend champagne under the stars! The house is surrounded by nice gardens and trees and feels private and secluded. We actually felt that we had the best location in Governor’s Harbour – right at the top if the hill between the Atlantic and the Caribbean. It was an easy walk, just a few minutes, to either the village of Governor’s Harbour or to the world-renowned French Leave Beach. I think it is safe to say that most everything you could want is within walking distance. Restaurants, groceries, gift shops and liquor stores. And French Leave Beach lives up to its stellar reputation. Long beach walks were an enjoyable part of our daily regimen. We usually had this entire beach to ourselves, encountering only the occasional, friendly dog walkers. Dom and Joy, the property managers, were attentive and caring. They provided excellent tips for dining, activities and supplies, and were responsive to any questions or needs. They even pre-stocked the house with basic necessities and wine so that we wouldn’t have to rush out to get this upon arrival. In our view, Fond Memories is perfect for 1-2 couples and romantic getaways. It definitely has an adult luxury vibe that was exactly what we were looking for. We understand how important guest reviews are for vacation planning and give Fond Memories our highest personal recommendation. Trust us – you won’t be disappointed!
