Perfect House

We came to Virgin Gorda for a wedding and wanted to stay in a home that offered us all the amenities a luxury resort. This house was all that and more! With the swimming pool and the scenic views and the spaciousness of the house we hardly left the property except for the activities that were involved around the wedding. It was simply the best!

The BEST vacation

Our family of four myself, my husband and our two boys ages 8 and 10 had the best week on Virgin Gorda and in this villa. When we first arrived and walked down the pathway that led to the pool and the villa we were blown away by the property and the view. The listing pictures just do not do this place justice. The beach down from the house, while you can’t swim there, entertained my kids for hours hunting and finding sea glass. We drove to a different beach every day and had the best time. We felt completely safe, not only in this villa, but also on this island. This home was well equipped and beautifully laid out. It was too windy the week we were there to use, but the home had beach, umbrellas, chairs and other beach equipment. If you have younger kids, it was well stocked with pack and plays and high chairs. This home would also be great for three couples as each bedroom is like a master bedroom. Our host for the week was wonderful and so responsive! If you’ve been thinking about a trip to Virgin Gorda and this place is available jump on it!

What a Villa!

From our concierge, to the amenities, this Villa is top notch. The pictures do not do it justice. Perfect for couples or families traveling together. All suites have balconies overlooking the sea and breathtaking landscape. This Villa has everything covered, we wanted for nothing. We WILL return. ❤️🌴

Very comfortable, convenient location, spectacular view

Our stay at Calypso Villa could not have been better. We were just a short drive from The Baths, beaches, snorkeling, and restaurants. From the house there is a trail leading to a small beach on Crook's Bay - not for swimming but beautiful and we had fun looking for sea glass and shells there and watching the waves come in over the big rocks. The check-in was flawless and Morgana, the property manager, checked in on us a few times to make sure we were happy or if we needed anything. Michelle was also quite helpful leading up to our stay and detailed suggestions on logistics of getting there and boat charters/snorkel rental etc. Highly recommend taking advantage of the fridge stocking service since we found that grocery shopping was the last thing we wanted to do after a long day of travel. Beds and pillows were comfortable, and the living area/outside seating was quite cozy and comfortable too - peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect

Truly excellent experience from start to finish. The house itself is remarkable - in design, location, amenities - and is incredibly well maintained and well stocked. The views are possibly the best I’ve ever seen anywhere in the Caribbean, and the architecture of the house capitalizes on them extremely well with folding doors that open the entire living area to the pool and to the beautiful gardens. Extremely private as well - at the tip of a very private road in Crooks Bay, you can’t hear or see any neighbors. There is even privacy within the property, with each bedroom being entirely separate from the others. Extraordinary value for a few couples traveling together. Michelle and the management team were lovely - couldn’t have asked for better service. I had high expectations and they were thoroughly exceeded. Can’t recommend this house strongly enough.

New Year's 2020 at Calypso Villa

The Villa is lovely. Nestled among the bouganveillas, palms and more tropical foliage. There were roosters in the AM, goats in the hills, and butterfly's all-around our 360 degree views of the surrounding hillside. The Villa is very private, all open to the air (if you choose) except for the very private 3 master suites which we kept closed with AC running to eliminate the no see 'ems and to insure great sleep in the bedrooms with shades on the windows. Bedrooms were laid out on different level and different sides of home, so very nice for couples traveling together. Living spaces and kitchen were were very generous. Pool and patio are on the sunny side of the home for all day enjoyment. As the property is on solar, there can be days when the shower water temperatures can be a bit lukewarm. All in all this Villa is Paradise.

We rented this property for a week during New Years. Beautiful house with wonderful views and scenery. (Pictures do not do it justice) Miss waking up to those stunning views! We started our day drinking coffee at the outdoor lounge area while the kids were playing in the pool. Enjoyed the multiple sitting areas the house had. Kitchen and entertainment area were very spacious and beautifully decorated. I do have to mention that it can get windy because of the location of the house. It’s perfect during the day when it’s hot and the wind helps to cool it down. Make sure you carry light sweaters or throws if you are planning on sitting out at nights. It could get quite windy and noisy at nights especially in the upstairs master bedroom. Manager Christi was very helpful. She helped us with any questions we had before and during our trip and even came to pick us up by the marina the day we arrived. She was available at all times to answer any question we had. Location was ideal for us. Very secluded. When you are there you feel all alone and have amazing privacy. Nevertheless, spectacular beaches, grocery stores, restaurants all within 5-7 min drive. We are already making plans to go back to stay at Calypso on our next trip.

Enjoy comforts of home with beautiful views from your private tropical paradise

Wonderful property! Comfortable accommodations for a couple upstairs, with another two bedrooms downstairs for more couples or kids. There is also a washer and dryer downstairs, which means you can pack fewer clothes. Open plan kitchen, living room, outdoor lanai with wonderful swimming pool, beautiful views in every direction. Very quiet other than hearing the occasional dog bark or goat bleep, which contributes to the natural ambience. Christie is very helpful both before your trip and when you arrive. I had high expectations of enjoying this property; they were exceeded!
