We wanted somewhere rural, quiet and comfortable with access to nearby beaches, and that's exactly what we had! The house is located a mile away from the main road down a track, so there is no passing traffic. Malcolm and Sarah are fabulous hosts, on hand to assist if required, generously giving their time to recommend places of interest and to loan towels for the dogs. The house is lovely, with a small secure patio and grassed area at the back, perfect for our small dogs to mooch about. There are walks directly from the house - either in the field owned by the hosts, who live next door, or to the South West Coast Path which leads out to Bantham beach. Slapton Sands/Torcross, Salcombe, Bigbury-on-Sea, Start Point (a steep and long walk down to the lighthouse and beach - not for the faint-hearted) and Hope Cove were favourites of ours. We had a lovely stay, with the bonus of great weather!

Tolles Haus und tolle Gastgeber. Alles wie angegeben.Das Sofa könnte man irgendwann vielleicht mal austauschen. Aber bis dahin hat es den besonderen Kuschelcharakter

Excellent holiday experience as always - fourth visit for us - did more and further walks and found some excellent spots for breakfast and lunches. Can’t be faulted. Highly recommend the Church House Inn nearby. Food and service is excellent. Portions are large so be careful not to order too much. All in all Ideally placed for many different days out and scenic walks.

Little Stadbury is a hamlet just outside Aveton Gifford reached by a farm track of 1/2 a mile or more. The property offers a spacious open plan living and dining area with 2 good sized bedrooms above.It is wonderful and the hosts are truely lovely too, adding so much to your stay.

We hebben een heerlijke relaxte week bij Sarah en Malcolm gehad. Super super gastvrij, het huisje was super schoon en netjes en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een heerlijke tuin waar onze hond fijn kon rondrennen en snuffelen. En een prachtige lange wandeling richting Bantham beach waar ze heerlijk uit kon razen. Kingsbridge is een absolute aanrader, Bantham Beach en Bolberry doen, the south west coast path, echt schitterende natuur. Kortom, een week in een oase van rust, een cadeau! En Sarah en Malcolm zijn de allerliefste ‘hosts’.

A wellness retreat!

Amazing location with wonderful walks and views from the door step, added extra shot of wellness by taking a pottery class on site under Sarah’s expert and passionate guidance which was a creative treat💗 The most accommodating hosts who went above and beyond to ensure we were all comfortable - including the dogs - even sharing a gorgeous home cooked meal & wine - Devine few days in this very special corner of Devon. Restorative Break Away

If you want to press pause on your life for a short while - this is for you! Malcolm and Sarah were the perfect hosts. From the point of booking, Malcom stayed in touch to make sure everything was ok. Little Stadbury is the perfect rural setting escape. It's spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. We had one rainy day and Sarah taught us how to use the potters wheel. We each made a trinket and Sarah will be posting them back to us when they have been fired in the kiln.. we are looking forward to receiving them.. I cant recommend Little Stadbury enough.. It's THE perfect getaway to unwind and to recharge. Thank you Malcom and Sarah for making us feel so welcome. We hope to come back !

Wonderful stay at Little Stadbury

Malcolm and Sarah are ideal hosts and most welcoming. We felt we could always refer to them for help - but of course we never needed to! Little Stadbury is considerably more spacious than it appears from the outside and very comfortable inside. The two nearest beaches are wonderful and quite unique and the surrounding countryside truly picturesque. Superb holiday, many thanks.

Lovely break in beautiful location

We absolutely loved our stay at Little Stadbury. It's a gorgeous property in a beautiful location. We found it so spacious and comfortable and ideal for us and the teenage children and our dog too! Malcom and Sarah were so welcoming and helpful. We would definitely love to go back sometime.

Fantastic week away

Lovely area, quiet and very relaxing. There are some great walks straight from the property which we made the most of, some easy and some more challenging. Even though it seems remote you are so close to everything in the area you need (supermarkets, pubs, takeaway, beaches). Hosts are there if you need them, but not intrusive. Just a fantastic relaxing week away. :)

Perfect end to our vacation!

Little Stadbury was such a perfect location for our family. It is close to the coastline and to some amazing villages. Malcolm and Sarah were perfect hosts and very helpful to find places and activities for our family.

Comfortable cottage in fantastic location for beaches

We had a lovely sunny week in this comfortable cottage. The twin bedroom is big enough for two teenage girls and can fit a third if they were younger too. The cottage is very clean and well equipped with all the extras you usually don't get any more e.g. toilet roll, cling film, washing up liquid so you don't need to worry if you have forgotten anything. The beds are very comfy, the washing machine and the BBQ are excellent. The downstairs is a big open plan space with plenty of room to store bikes and paddle boards. It's also lovely and cool when it's hot outside. There is a table and chairs and a BBQ in the small garden and a big field to walk your dog if you have one. There is a choice of beautiful beaches within a short 10 minute drive and very good local places to eat. Kingsbridge and Salcombe with many restaurants and pubs are both 10 mins away. We also ate at the wonderful Oyster Shack on the tidal road. Plymouth and Dartmouth are an easy 30 minutes drive for many more things to do such as the National Aquarium, Castles and boat trips. The hosts are very welcoming and happy to help with anything. My daughter was able to try her hand at pottery with Sarah and enjoyed this very much. We are eagerly awaiting the final pieces once they have been fired. We were able to charge our electric car very easily at the hub at Buckfastleigh on the way down and then 22kwh chargers at both Salcombe and Kingsbridge. We had a lovely week in glorious weather and hope to return.

Perfect property and location with fantastic hosts!

Lovely roomy cottage in the perfect super quiet location with everything you might need for a relaxing stay and we have stayed several times over the past few years - spring and summers. Much to see and do locally whatever the weather and brilliant, welcoming hosts.

Perfect Peace

The location is stunning and the house is as lovely as the pictures. We walked to Bantham Beach with the dogs one day in gloriously late summer weather. We slept really well as it is so peaceful. It really is the perfect place to get away from it all and recharge. The dogs especially loved the paddock. Plenty of zoomies.

Off the beaten track

Very quiet location a mile off the main road down a tarmac track. Malcolm and Sarah were very hospitable and were very helpful with advice on where to visit and where to eat. Very comfortable beds, slept well. Large paddock area for dogs to run around in as well as an enclosed small patio and grass area to the side of the cottage.
