  • Nice condo with community hot tub only steps away. There is plenty of parking and it's located only minutes from Mountain Village. Enjoy the piece and quiet or all of the great outdoor activities the areas has to offer.

    This ground flour unit has 1 queen sized bed and a pull out sofa. Pets are welcome as long as long as they are cleaned up after both inside the condo and outside.

I had a question before our visit and the host replied very quickly! I liked that the property was reasonable, pet friendly, and not far from Cass, where we went for a train ride. I would definitely stay at this location again if I came back to the area.

Consistently Dependable

This is the second year we’ve stayed at Chris’s VRBO and have really enjoyed the location, communication, and consistent dependability of this studio as our ski weekend family crash pad. Also, love the neighborhood that is dog friendly.

Small, dated property, but had most of what we needed. One side of the mattress sagged. No nearby restaurants or grocery stores made it painful to discover that there was no coffee or other accoutrement to go wit the Keurig coffeemaker. Well soundproofed & thoughtful nightlight in bath.

The property suited our purpose. We were disappointed that the screen door did not close, because our dogs weren't able to see outside when we were there, and the view from the front was not that inviting.

Adorable studio = perfect getaway

Affordable. Super easy to book, check in and check out. Great communication and owner is easy going. Wi-Fi was strong and even had a cell signal on site. I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness of unit because it wasn’t cleaned to my standards but it was clean. Close to Snowshoe without the crowds.

Besides these few things that gave the impression of a lack of care, it wasn’t bad. 1) There was a full size dehumidifier sitting on the bathroom sink with a full size garden hose obscuring 1/2 the sink for drainage. How many people spit on that hose that you are now trying to rinse your tooth brush around? 2) The heat shield clearly visible behind the couch was just scrap home foam insulation. It looked like it was taken from a construction site and tossed back there. 3) the closet door fell off its track as soon as you try to open it. 4) Random other odd things that looked like they were just thrown in for some unknown reason. 5) Musty smell when we first went in. Owners response was “If you were expecting the Ritz having paid $71.50 a night, I don't know what I can do to help you with that.”

We went off season and it was nice and quite. Just what we were looking for. We had a great chat with Billy who owns a unit there. The only potential negative is it advertises a hot tub and we had an access code but there was a padlock on the door.

The space is smaller than it appears in the listing. Musty smell as it is a daylight-basement unit. Poorly maintained, e.g. screen door doesn't latch, closet door is off the track, coffee maker is broken, etc. Be aware that this unit is cheap for a reason, you will get what you pay for.

Great little weekend break

Me, my husband and dog loved our stay at overlook. Great little space with everything needed for a few nights. The cabin was a little warm but plenty of fans and an air on unit provided to make it comfortable. Peaceful location with no noise. We used the hot tub after our walk and it was great and clean. Host provided good instructions and responded to messages quickly. Can’t wait to visit. Only recommendation is maybe hit a supermarket before you arrive as it’s a few mile drive to local store or to Snowshoe resort for food.
