This is a beautiful home along Route 66. The hosts are friendly and quick to respond. It’s within walking distance of the town square. If you’re passing through town, I highly recommend!

Everything was just what we needed to meet our travel needs. We felt like we were at a family members home. We were lucky to encounter the first BIG snow of the season. That did not keep us from the wedding we came to town for. They left a shovel just in case. That helped make the day. Thanks for everything!

A beautiful house, tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. It was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. With the car, you could reach the supermarket in just a few minutes, and there were restaurants nearby as well. The contact with the hosts was excellent and friendly. We were really happy with our stay. Thank you so much!

Old Time Charm

This property is awesome. The owners have preserved the history of this beautiful home on Route 66. The bed upstairs was comfy. Loved being off the grid with no Internet. The area is beautiful and lunch at Docs aka Decks pharmacy was super cute and the boozey shakes were so yummy. Would love to come back to this area again and would stay here again!

Awesome property

This was an absolute ideal place. My buddy and I were riding motorcycles up Route 66 so this place just made sense. However, it was an awesome experience. The house was immaculately clean and so well laid out. The beds were very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we used this house as our base for our rides up to Chicago and then to Milwaukee. Will definitely refer this to friends and family and since I have family in Girard, I will stay there again.

Very enjoyable family visit

Craig and Myrna provide such a classic, comfortable home and are fantastic hosts. They provide for a well-stocked kitchen, exceptional cleanliness, many extras like toiletries, etc…and have so many interesting books and paraphernalia about Rt 66 to look at. We have a very fun trip back and appreciate so much the opportunity to stay at the house. We will be back.Mauri

Home away from Home

The house was very nice. It made a wonderful place for family from out of state to stay that was just a couple of blocks from us at a very reasonable price. The owners were very nice and we will definitely be renting again when our family visits

Perfect for us

This was a very relaxing VRBO, described nearly perfectly, it's super charming. Most importantly it's close to Whirl-a-whip! Seriously, we'll stay again when visiting the area, even in winter!

Love the Route 66 themed decor

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting family and friends. The house was clean and perfectly described. Love the location in town. We enjoyed the local restaurants and ate ice cream a few times at Whirl-a-whip. Highly recommend!!
