The views were so good we had trouble getting off the deck. Unit was well equipped and gorgeous. When I compare to the 500 to 600 night stay at a good hotel on the island this is a great bargain. Owners agent was responsive and helpful and eased our apprehension, since we were first time vrbo users.

Couples Retreat - Coronacation

We had so much fun in St. Thomas. The property was beautiful and the owner was so incredibly helpful to us throughout our stay!

Nice place, great location

Property is as advertised. Sapphire Beach is one of the nicest on the island. The Red Hook area has good restaurants and easy access to charters and ferry service to St. John. The property itself has a nice kitchenette, large master suite and two nice decks. Property owner was great to work with and responsive. Overall, a very nice experience.

Not worth the money

Start with the positives: amazing view, good location and the general surroundings of the community are all great. Wifi works great also. Now a few suggestions: At a nightly rate close to what the luxury hotel chains charge, this place can easily afford to provide more quality amenities and make guests feel more welcome. Instead of the cheap polyester bedding, buy a few sets of nice cotton sheets from Costco, instead of Kmart. The bath towels are worn and thin. There was no soap, shampoo or conditioner in either of the bathrooms. The bathrooms are old and cramped , but the water pressure is good. The place is not particularly clean. A/C is old, and the upper level smells musty so we need to use a fan the whole time. The fan is covered with dust. We found stains on some pillows that were gross. Several closets in the lower area and bathroom are locked up with ugly chain locks. The are very unwelcoming to look at. To be fair, I am not saying this is a bad place to stay; but the owners need to pay more attention to details. The bottom line, this place needs a through cleaning, by professionals. At this price level, owners have to invest in some newer and nicer things to give guests a better experience.

A place in paradise

Absolutely fantastic, the accommodations were clean and wonderful. The owner was very pleasant to work with and easy to access if needed. The view from the 2 decks is absolutely breathtaking - you may think you died and went to heaven. If you're looking for a place to unwind and slow down this is the place, you can't help but to completely relax!

Fantastic location and views!

My friends and I had a great time at this condo. We were only there 2 nights as we were headed to St. John but wished that we could have stayed longer here. Sapphire Beach is the best place to swim and snorkel on the island and its proximity to great restaurants and the ferry to St. John were ideal. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen were great, views from the balcony spectacular and the A/C made it all very comfortable. Jeanne also gave me helpful info about the ferry too. We'll be back again!

Good Quality with an Excellent View

This property was described perfectly and priced for our budget - and what a view!! We had (2) adult couples staying, the two floors made it convenient for both to have personal space and a bathroom. Bathroom and kitchen had been updated nicely. Photos are accurate. Only criticism was that we couldn't ever get the internet to work. The password was shown and the internet read as full bars, but wouldn't ever work. Would never have cared - we are in paradise an who needs a phone or internet - but was hoping to use it to get around as cellular can get expensive down here! Best part was having coffee on the balcony and being so close to the waves. There was a bar close enough to walk to, but not much else within walking distance - only beautiful ocean and pool! Found a grocery within a reasonable distance - you would definitely need a car!! The owner was awesome to talk to and super communicative!!

Beautiful location

If you're looking for a quite low key beach stop this condo is for you! At first the kids were upset not to have the all inclusive experience that they are used to but slowly realized how nice it was to have peace and quite ! Red Hook is just a close taxi ride away and you can get whatever you want there. The condo itself is great , the master bedroom bed is to die for SO comfy , only bummer was having to go to the pier to wash and leaving property to eat other than that A DEFINATE MUST STAY!

Nice size,views and good location for beach/snorkling

The condo was very nice and seems to have been remodeled recently. We were two couples and it worked fine, even with one of the couples sleeping on the pull out bed downstairs. With two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs everyone had enough privacy. If you are looking for a great beach/snorkeling location you cant go wrong for the price! This would be a good condo for a family of 4, parents in the master suit upstairs and kids in the comfortable pull out bed downstairs.

Great a spot to enjoy some time in St. Thomas

This was our second stay in this unit. It is perfect for us. Its clean, pleasantly furnished, comfortable....its a home away from home! There are decks off the master bedroom upstairs and off the living room / dinning / kitchen area. The breeze is heavenly. We never use the AC while we are there! It has everything you need. There is free wifi. You can cook if you like or eat out. Its only 1 mile to Red Hook where there are a lot of restaurants. Ferry over to St. John is also there. A perfect location. Beach is lovely as well. We highly recommend it.

Very nice condo in perfect location

I almost hate writing this review because I want to always be able to rent this property in the future. It's a very nice condo that's well maintained and has everything you'd ever need down to the beach towels. The pictures are all spot on and we loved listening to the sea as we fell asleep. We've traveled extensively from the South of France to Croatia and like using homeaway/vrbo as our go-to for accommodations to get a "real" feel for where you're visiting. You definitely need to rent a car if you're in this part of the island. Red Hook is about a two minute drive away and that's where you will be able to visit all the other islands in the BVI & USVI to your hearts content. Not that you'd want to leave because the view here is bar none! There are also cabbie that seem to congregate on the property that might be helpful for those without a car or for those who don't want to brave the hairpin turns at night. Saphire Beach is beautiful. The front of the property is rocky but the best part of the beach is a quick walk down the beach. We also discovered a beautiful little cove called Coki Beach about 10 minute drIve away that is really fun, calm waters and full service. Hope this helps with your decision making process. You can't go wrong here - the unit is clean and well maintained.

Convenient

The overall stay was pleasant since we were outside most of the time with friends as we were there to attend a friends wedding on sapphire beach. The condo had very easy access with an electronic key pad to enter each time, which made not worrying about a key enjoyable while out and about. The unit itself however was not as clean as we hoped. All the dishes had to be rewashed as there were still old food particles on most items. The kitchen dish towels smelled so bad we had to only use paper towels, which we had to use for cleaning and all cooking. We only got 1 bath towel each so after day 2-3 they were so musty smelling from the environment that we were using hand towels to dry ourselves. The overall appearance of the condo was nice, but not that comfortable as we felt it was barely cleaned.

Honeymooners

My wife and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. Still wish everyday we could go back. This condo seemed to be one of the nicer ones at a fair price (considering it's a two story) in the area. I would recommend renting a car, unless you do any far travels, the roads aren't too bad. We loved being able to sleep with the patio doors open and listening to the waves. We will be returning ASAP.

An Excellent and Beautiful Place to Stay

My husband and I have been going to Sapphire Beach for 6 years and it never disappoints. This condo is well furnished, clean, and tastefully done. The bed is comfortable and the condo was quiet in the evenings. The AC worked well, the kitchen has been nicely renovated and the owner has paid attention to detail with the decor. Anything you would need including pots and pans, silverware, cups and glasses, a coffee pot, sunscreen, snorkling gear, a cooler, etc. was provided within the condo. After we were settled in the manager for that property came and introduced herself, told us where she lived within the Sapphire complex in case we would have any problems, and made sure we had everything we needed. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Breathtaking beautiful views and maximum luxury!

Everything you could need is provided in this wonderful unit. The condo itself is wonderfully updated, super clean and beautifully maintained. The views of the beautiful water and surrounding islands cannot be put into words. The are so many activities to do and see and many near by restaurants to visit. Just sitting on the balcony enjoying a drink is a favorite pastime. I will be back.

A Little Piece of Heaven on Earth

The minute we made the turn into the complex from the top of the hill, we were struck by beautiful views. As we stepped through the door of the unit, we walked into a warm and inviting space that led straight to a magnificent view of St. John surrounded by amazing turquoise waters that mere words cannot describe and must be seen in person. Every need and want was provided from the full set of dishes, fresh linens, WIFI, to the beach where beach chairs and snorkel gear were provided for no additional charge through the onsite dive shop; making this one of the most relaxing and carefree vacations ever. We will definitely be back to this spectacular little piece of heaven on earth in the future. Thanks again for the amazing Caribbean experience!!!

What a wonderful holiday!

The condo is private, spacious and spotless! It is situated on a beautiful beach with a beautiful view and beautiful sand and beautiful water and beautiful......... My husband and I are 40-somethings from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We love to travel and have visited many Caribbean islands for the snorkeling, the people and of course for the beach and sunshine. This condo will provide you with everything you want on an island holiday......beach, snorkeling, close to restaurants and where the daily excursions depart from......this condo offers 2 private balconies in a secured gated community. It is a $10 taxi ride into Red Hook or the Ferry - but a $2 ride by the local SAFARI bus (NB the SAFARI ONLY TRAVELS IN 1 DIRECTION!!! AND ONLY OPERATES daily UNTIL 6PM) The kitchen is basic......only a 2 cup coffee maker, limited dishes and cooking supplies. We never looked for the BBQ on site. The internet is WIFI but only for 1 person at a time with a 30 min break before transferring to another device. There isn't a restaurant on site but there is a table set up during the day that sells fresh and cooked food and drinks etc. That all being said - it frustrated me the first day - but honestly - it didn't impact our communication or fun!!! Red Hook has a market and there is a Marina Market that is closer. Both stores have great selections of fresh produce and meat as well as dried goods; although more expensive then mainland USA. We chose to fill up a suitcase with non perishable foods which greatly increased our condo conveniences and diminished the 'schlepping' and the overall price in the market. We too the local Safari into Charlotte Amalie one day. We left the condo after 1pm. Had a great drive into town and then enjoyed the town at a quieter time of the day as most of the cruise ships return to the ship for 3:00-4:00pm. We did our own walking tour including visiting the Amazing old synagogue with a sand floor on the top of the hill. We shopped at the flea markets and had a great burger at the SHIPYARD pub across from the cruise ships. (We asked locals where they go for dinner) For a fantastic day on the water - we hired SIMPLICITY CHARTERS for a fantastic day on the water with great snorkeling and great food!! They depart from the docks just by the ferry.

Life Is Good At Villa Bella !!!!!!!!

Let me start by saying this place was everything i could have imagined and more....... Beautiful, Spacious, Property was immaculate. It had all the amenities you could possibly need. The views were breathtaking. One of my favorite places i have ever been and i have been around. Great Dining, Bars, Sightseeing. The People one nice than the other. Really made you feel at home. The owners Dan and Jeanne what a wonderful couple so down to earth! I would highly recommend to all family and friends. And i cannot wait to plan my next vacation to Villa Bella Muah!!!!!!!!!!! I found paradise!

I never understood the word " Paradise " until, I came to Villa Bella! From the moment I booked my vacation at "Villa Bella" -I felt a connection with the owners! I had a great feeling and I knew I made the right decision. I had never really travelled before so I really needed to get away. My friends and I decided that Villa Bella was the place! As soon as I arrived, I could never have imagine such a beautiful place. I opened the door and saw the most beautiful view ever! The ocean view took my breath away. You can see the magnificent beach, palm trees, reefs, the island of St. Johns and the endless sky! I spent several hours during my stay soaking up the serenity. The owners, Dan and Jean were so accomodating. The managers Christina and Jeanne were so helpful. We settled into the condo which is kept immaculate. It felt so comfortable like my home away from home! The condo is beautiful and spacious. We quickly unpacked and we started the best vacation I ever had! Great kitchen, wonderfully functional with everything you could need. The living room and upstairs sleeping area is serene! Listening to the ocean every night just put me to sleep. I love the mini bar, the Bananna Cabana on the beach, she makes the best strawberry dacquirs and wonderful sandwiches! Sapphire is located near everything! I can't wait to go back again! Villa Bella restored my soul! I have found paradise at Villa Bella...........
