Cottage Monbazillac – Refined Stay in the Heart of Périgord

In a wooded area of 10 hectares, in the heart of the Périgord, 30 minutes from Bergerac airport and one hour from Bordeaux, the elegant Château de Monciaux (18th century) and its 4 cottages invite you to an exceptional stay. The Cottage Monbazillac, nestled in a bucolic setting, combines Périgord charm and modern comfort, to offer an ideal experience for families or groups of friends.

The Monbazillac Cottage

This spacious 90 m² cottage is designed to accommodate 4 people, with the possibility of adding a mattress for an additional person. It opens onto an elegant living room, with a large sofa and two matching armchairs, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The warm and friendly atmosphere of this room is enhanced by a fireplace that invites relaxation and sharing on cool evenings.

The open and fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare delicious meals with: fridge/freezer, hotplates, oven, microwave, filter and Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, dishwasher, and washing machine. A dining area will allow you to enjoy friendly moments with your loved ones.

Outside, a quiet private terrace offers you a clear view of the surrounding countryside. Ideal for outdoor meals or moments of relaxation, it is also equipped with a barbecue for unforgettable barbecue evenings.

The Night Space

The sleeping area is located upstairs, accessible by a large landing. It includes two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and separate toilet for maximum comfort. The first bedroom has a comfortable double bed, perfect for a couple. The second bedroom is equipped with two single beds, ideal for children or friends. It is also possible to add a mattress for an additional person, if necessary.

The bright bathroom is equipped with two vanities and a shower. A separate WC is also located on this level for added convenience.

Services and Amenities

• Heating : A “heating costs” package is included in your rate (€25/day of heating) to guarantee your comfort throughout your stay.
• Bed and bathroom linen : Luxury quality bed linen (€15 per single bed, €30 per double bed) and bathroom sets (€10 per person) are available as an option. Your beds will be carefully prepared by our team.
• Baby beds : We provide baby beds and all the necessary comforts free of charge, with the possibility of fine linens on request.

Exterior fittings

The quality shared outdoor facilities are available to our guests for moments of relaxation and leisure:

• Swimming pool : Open from May 1st to September 30th, with possibility of early opening or late closing depending on weather conditions. (Pool towels not provided).
• Tennis : A tennis court with rustic charm is at your disposal (rackets not provided).
• Outdoor recreation : A large trampoline, a ping-pong table, as well as a children's play area equipped with a slide and swings.

All our cottages benefit from private terraces, gardens and views, ensuring peace and privacy for each of our guests.

Location and Environment

The Domaine du Château de Monciaux is ideally located near Bourrou, on the road to Manzac-sur-Vern. This green and peaceful setting is perfect for rejuvenating stays. The region, rich in historical and prehistoric heritage, offers a multitude of sites to discover: medieval towns, castles, prehistoric caves, not to mention the gastronomy of Périgord, famous for its truffles, foie gras and wines. A weekly organic market in Bourrou and shops in Villamblard (7 km away) will add to the pleasure of your stay.

Practical Information

We will contact you before your arrival to provide you with all the information necessary to prepare your stay. You will also be put in touch with the person in charge of managing your stay, available for any questions.

Please note :

• We do not provide wood for the fireplace, but we can put you in touch with a lumberjack for delivery.
• The swimming pool and tennis court are accessible during the mentioned period, but please remember to bring your own pool towels and tennis rackets.
