**Wonderful people and true Fiji atmosphere — with a few quirks** We spent a week at Serenity Island Resort with friends and had a great time overall. The biggest plus is the staff — genuinely kind people who always try to help with everything they can. You do feel "Fiji time" everywhere though :) A few minuses: the bar constantly runs low on alcoholic drinks and the selection is limited; the menu is quite small too — though for a resort of this size that's understandable. One thing that surprised us: some food is very often served cold. Maybe that's normal here, but it took us some getting used to. That said, the ocean, the nature, the reefs and the whole Fiji atmosphere smooth out all of these issues — you just relax and enjoy life and your vacation.

My wife and I had an incredible time spending a week here. The whole staff was amazing including Filie, Jimmy and his wife, the reception staff, and all the groundskeepers. Not saying we didn’t have a few problems along the way. Initial scheduling to get there took a day or two for a response, we had to move to a different bure for an a/c problem, and the new bure had a shower shutoff problem. The staff worked diligently to get things back to normal and gave us a 3pm checkout on our last day. We got the all- inclusive and had no surprise charges at the end. The food was quite good, not Michelin star, but good. The snorkeling steps off our bure was world class and sandy beaches were available just around the corner from our room. I know everyone has different expectations when they book a trip. The amenities are a 3 star for sure although you will feel like it was 5 stars.

A bit run down, nobody really there to serve guests. My bill was $1000 more than what we actually spent in 2 day stay, it took an hour for them to correct the $1900 extra they charged for a “helicopter ride” that never happened or was ordered. They never gave me my final bill at all and made me pay to leave on the boat. Pretty awful service but a pretty island.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED STAYING HERE AT SERENITY ISLAND! I would recommend this stay to anyone and everyone! The staff are so friendly with a special shout out to Junior and Phee who made our trip extra special with their beautiful smiles and glittery flowers! In general the staff were amazing and helpful, constantly trying to make our trip special! The rooms are fantastic and clean and would highly recommend the extra money for a beach Bungalow for fantastic views! The turtle cleaning and feeding are definitely aimed to entertain the kids but as a young couple, we enjoyed it if not more than the children! We were on the all inclusive package which 100% is worth it - we definitely got our moneys worth with Juniors and Jerry’s delicious cocktails! The food here at serenity island was freaking amazing and tasty however on the smaller portion size therefore wouldn’t say was worth the prices if we weren’t on the all inclusive package. My highlight each day was the 20.00pm staff singing! Such beautiful and talented singers! I would 100% recommend staying here at Serenity island Resort especially if you looking for a romantic get away with your loved one! I will definitely be back someday!

We arrived with a boat load of day trippers from a nearby cruise ship. Not a serenity vibe. The cooking demo was excellent making Kondova - delicious Unfortunately very few sun beds under the cabanas. Some staff need a little more training. Our appetizer came before our wine & when the main course arrived before we sent it back. Also limited knowledge on a classic martini. We had a very pleasant stroll around the island and lunched at the glamping site, which was also somewhat taken over by cruise ship guests. Swimming & snorkeling off the beach’s or outside your room was lovely

The staff are incredible. Sail went above and beyond to get me here and everyone is so welcoming. They remember names and where everyone is from. I don’t know how they do it but I have never met a more welcoming people than those in Fiji, especially here. They have snorkel gear, kayaks and paddle boards ready to be taken out at anytime. I had such a great and relaxing stay. Would absolutely recommend anyone looking at Fiji to look here. The property could use a little TLC but I think that’s just life on an island with lots of humidity, wind and salt water.

If money is no object, skip this review and book elsewhere. Otherwise be advised: Get the all-inclusive add-on, it includes alcohol, great value. AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS RESTAURANT. You could easily consume 6x the cost of the all inclusive add-on with two meals a day and drinks. You should know it'll cost $450 FJD each way for two people to get on scheduled hotel boat from Vuda marina to island. Hotel will gladly invoice you $70 for an airport taxi, though there's one waiting on the airport curb to deliver you exactly the same place for $45. If you arrive on an evening flight (not in time to be at the marina for that 6pm boat) be prepared to get an invoice for over $1,500 FJD for the transfer. If you call Vuda Water Taxi Services he'll deliver you there on a lovely private speed boat day or night for only $400. It's sad that the hotel is greedy that way. Their overcrowded resort boat is more expensive than a private water taxi. The water taxi guy is a local who keeps all the money. When I was there I heard of a dispute where the resort wasn't compensating their water taxi guy fairly and they were using a different temporary one. They are undercutting the locals and upcharging tourists to get to their resort. I didn't see it disclosed when I booked, in fact it cost more to get there and back than to stay 3 nights all inclusive! Also, take what you need. The store isn't a store. I repeat, not a useful store. Staff are wonderful. Great pool. Ok beach and snorkeling. Sai is GREAT!

Nice location with good snorkeling all around the island. Beautiful area. Lovely staff. The rooms were a bit dated but the bed was comfortable and it was nice to have air conditioning. The food was ok. The vegetarian options were quite good. I loved having a little beach right outside my bura. All in all a nice stay. Vanaka!
