The hotel appears to be run around the restaurant, leading to limited check in hours in between lunch and dinner services. Not a problem, but something to be aware of to plan your arrival time. Later check in can be arranged by emailing the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, putting up with my dodgy French and speaking good English when needed.
We stayed half board and had the set 4 course meal in the evening. It was excellent - traditional recipes cooked very well and well paced. Each course was a decent size but we left feeling comfortably replete, not full to bursting. There was a good choice of wine too.
Breakfast was a small buffet but great quality. We particularly liked the egg boiler!
We visited Bouillon castle the next day, which was very good.
