Overall, it was a great experience, and a lot of fun. There are a couple of things that would have made it a better experience. The tropical storm Melissa didn't help, but this is not something the owners can control.
1. The shower faucet had the little screw missing, so the handle kept falling off as it is a very small shower. It hit me on the ankle and left a huge bruise. This should be fixed immediately. The hot/cold was difficult to regulate as well.
2. The bed is very hard. Adding a egg shell comfort pad or some sort of down mattress comfort pad on top of the mattress would have been nice. It is rock hard uncomfortable.
3. I never did get the TV to go to any channels, but two; reruns of HGTV or ABC News. There were no channels to watch, and no movies. Netflix, Hulu...all required a subscription, and we could not get any "just regular" channels, such as CNN, MSNBC, or anything else. It was very frustrating. I did mention it to the gal that met us to check in, as she stopped by to get the vacuum. She said she had not watched TV in 7 years, and didn't know how to fix it. We just thought it was too much work to be explaining it over the phone to the owner. These things need to be figured out in person. Either there are no channels/movies to watch, or the instructions should be left on how to access these items. The TV should have channels to watch easily.
4. The sliding glass door was filthy. Since this is a view boat, all windows should be spotless. The slider was hard to see through.
I wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed the outdoor deck.
I highly recommend this owner, but the few items I mentioned would have helped immensely as I was travelling with my 81 year old Mom. She couldn't watch TV, the bed hurt her back, and the shower was a pain. Fix these items, and it would have been a 5 star rating. Thanks! Wendy
