This small, vibrant town is packed with natural beauty, rich history, and one-of-a-kind experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Get ready to fall in love with the raw desert landscapes, starry nights, and a slow pace of life that makes it the perfect place to unplug, recharge, and explore.
A Nature Lover’s Dream Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in California and offers endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. Whether you’re into hiking, off-roading, or wildflower viewing, the park is an absolute treasure trove of natural wonders. Explore canyons, mountains, and desert washes, and discover hidden oases in this desert paradise.
For the wildlife enthusiasts, Borrego Springs is a prime spot to see bighorn sheep, desert foxes, road runners, and even the elusive bobcat. If you're lucky, you might catch sight of the migrating birds or a gila monster sunning itself on a rock.
Stargazing Like You’ve Never Seen Before Borrego Springs is an official Dark Sky Community, meaning it has some of the clearest, most beautiful night skies in the world. The lack of light pollution makes it one of the best places on Earth for stargazing, and when you look up, you’ll see the Milky Way stretching across the sky in all its glory. Imagine sitting outside under a blanket of stars, with the distant glow of the desert landscape. Breathtaking doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Whether you’re an experienced astronomer or just someone who enjoys a beautiful view, Borrego Springs has countless stargazing spots, including the Rooftop Decks and Sky Art sculptures in town, where you can kick back and gaze at shooting stars.
Desert Adventures Await! For those looking for more action, Borrego Springs is an off-roading paradise. With hundreds of miles of desert trails, it’s a UTV and dune buggy lover’s dream. The nearby Coyote Canyon and Galleta Meadows offer some of the best off-road opportunities, where you can get up close with the desert’s rugged terrain and discover the wild landscapes like never before.
Not into off-roading? No problem! There are tons of hiking trails for all levels, from easy walks like the Borrego Palm Canyon trail to more challenging hikes like the Slot Canyon. And if you want to catch the desert wildflower bloom (usually springtime), the landscape transforms into a vibrant sea of colors, making it one of the most magical experiences you’ll ever see.
A Peaceful Escape from Reality What really makes Borrego Springs so special is its peace and quiet. This small desert town is off the beaten path, so you won’t be dealing with huge crowds or city noise. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool or sitting on your private rooftop deck, the sounds of wind in the palms and birds chirping are your soundtrack.
The slower pace of life in Borrego is perfect for those looking to disconnect from their daily grind. It’s a place where time feels like it slows down, giving you the chance to reconnect with nature and find some inner peace.
Borrego Springs' Vibrant Arts & Culture Scene The artistic charm of Borrego Springs shines through in its Sky Art sculptures and the local art scene. The town is home to a series of incredible metal sculptures that blend beautifully with the desert backdrop, depicting everything from wildlife to prehistoric creatures. It’s like walking through an outdoor art gallery – and the best part? It’s all free!

Beautiful property with a great kitchen and big screen for movies. Spacious rooms and just enough bathrooms. The rooftop deck was a plus!

We celebrate my wife's birthday with friends. Everyone was very comfortable in the roomy house. The entertaining space was great between the kitchen, living room, TV room and adjoining enclosed patio, with mini ping pong table and space invaders video game. It was too cold to swim in the pool, but we soaked up the sun in the back yard lounge chairs. The roof top view deck was unique and we went up to view the sunsets and stars every evening, it was really beautiful. We took multiple daily walks around the neighborhood, very safe and quiet. We look forward to staying here again, in the future.

Beautiful house and property. Lots of room for 2 families and comfortable mattresses on all beds. Roof top deck is awesome. We had 10 people which we stated in the booking but there were only 6 bath towels, I reached out to the host and I was told there should be extras (there weren’t). I had to message multiple times before getting a response and we never did get more towels. So bring your own towels if you don’t want to share with someone! Also, even though in the listing it specifically says that all fees are included, the pool and hot tub are not heated unless you pay a CRAZY amount of 400 per day for the pool and 150 for every 4 hours for the hot tub. I didn’t find out about that until the day of check in when we were sent an info packet. Plus it says you have to let them know a week ahead of time so it has time to heat up, hard to do when you get that info the day of. We stayed in November and the pool and hot tub were both freezing. Kids were able to jump in the pool but that was about it. Very disappointing to not be able to use the hot tub especially. So if you are looking for a beautiful house in a gorgeous setting and you don’t mind bringing your own towels (or doing a lot of laundry), and you don’t need the pool or hot tub, this place is great.
