This is a good motel/hotel. It is conveniently located for access to Anza Borrego and Borrego Springs. It has an early American west motif. The facilities, grounds, pools/hot tubs are well maintained. The staff are friendly, accommodating. The rooms are clean, rather ordinary, clean linen but plastic cups, cheap coffee maker, boring TV options. The bar and dining room are no bargain, not particularly fraternal, and unexceptional, better to eat and drink a mile away in Borrego Springs. The restaurant is like ordering off a scripted menu at McDonalds, and not much better. There are some wonderful restaurants/pubs with interesting staff and clientele around Christmas Circle. The deal breaker for me was the AWFUL Internet service. It was almost impossible to log onto the Internet, even in the hotel lobby. I could not accomplish the simplest of Wifi tasks, for two days! Frustrating! I raised the issue with hotel staff, who smiled and acknowledged the Internet service was problematic! Duh. wished I knew this in advance. So, I’ll likely not stay there again. There are other options.
