Our brief, 1-night stay at the cabin was great. Having firewood readily available to burn helped take the chill off. The cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable. Jokull was a great communicator. My only regret about our stay was we didn't get to use the sauna; we were beat from a long day. But, we were treated to a Northern Lights show in the wee hours of the night, after the clouds parted. Visible right from the deck.

Die Gastgeber gaben uns vor Reiseantritt eine genaue Beschreibung des Objekte. Von der Route, über Details zum Haus, bis zu Infos zur Umgebung war alles dabei.Ein tolles Highlight dieser Unterkunft war die Sauna.Ich war nicht so zufrieden mit der Sauberkeit, was ich dem Gastgeber gemeldet habe.Es gibt keinen Platz für Reisekoffer und nur wenig Möglichkeiten Wäsche unterzubringen.Wir waren im September dort, es war sehr windig und das Haus ist sehr zugig. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, der Essbereich und Wohnbereich sehr großzügig. Wir hatten schöne Abende dort.

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus im Landhausstil liebevoll eingerichtet mit Sauna und einer herrlichen Aussicht. Es liegt sehr ruhig in einer Ferienwohnungssiedlung. Die Häuser sind weit verstreut in einer schön bewachsenen Umgebung. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt.Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer war sehr gut. Wir haben im Vorfeld umfangreiche Informationen über das Haus und die Gegend erhalten.Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Amazing view!

The cabin lives up to its name as it is very cozy and the views are spectacular. We had northern light shows both nights we stayed there and loved the sauna to warm up after a cold day on the glacier not too far from the cabin. The owner communicated very well and check in and out was very easy. We loved that the cabin is off the beaten path but also a 20 minute drive to restaurants and shops in Borgarnes. We would definitely stay here when we visit Iceland again.

Western Iceland Bliss

We had a fantastic stay at this cute and cozy cabin. It is perfect for 2 adults. It was an easy drive from Reykjavík and the town Borgarnes had everything that we would have needed. The kitchen/dining/living room was a nice open concept that made the space feel large and the views with this specific cabin were beautiful and private. The fireplace and sauna were awesome to have. We saw the Northern Lights all 4 nights that we stayed. It was a perfect base to discover Western Iceland. One thing to note that I missed in the description is that the refrigerator is a smaller (dorm size) refrigerator so make when you get groceries/ice be mindful of the size. Would recommend for a dreamy Iceland experience.

Tucked away off Gravel road

This was the last cabin at the end of our 15-day adventure traveling around thisamazing country. Even though the property needed so repairs and updating, it is still a cozy, comfortable rustic cabin. We couldn't figure out the TV/cables for hookup to our IPads, but just looked at all our beautiful photos we had taken during our trip. Snaefellsness Penisula is truly one of the beautiful, must see areas. Arnarstapi/Hellnar was quaint...ate delicious fish soup at little cafe in Hellnar. Djupalon Beach was beautiful. Visit Londrangar to see the Bird cliffs. Cold, very windy the day we traveled around the penisula...glad to return to cabin to get warm! Did eat lunch 1st day in Borgarnes at the GrillHaus, which was very good. Borgarnes is lovely small town, with nice walking trails and small botanical garden/park.

gemütliche Hütte, schön gelegen

Die Hütte liegt wunderschön und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Ein stabiles Auto ist von Vorteil auf dem Anfahrtsweg. Die Austattung ist wie beschrieben, ein Pluspunkt ist der Ofen, wenn Holz zur Verfügung steht.

Mulakot 3 is a situated on a hillside with a beautiful view. The cabin is well equipped and we enjoyed the use of the fireplace and sauna. I can highly recommend the cabin for a group of 4x

Nice accommodations in secluded location

Cabin well appointed, very clean and comfortable. Had a bit of a time figuring out how to work the cooktop stove ( need to place the pot or pan on the burner first before the heat will come on). Owners very quick to respond to any questions. Overall a nice stay.

Mal raus der Stadt

Super gemütliches Häuschen ca 9 km abseits der Ringstraße. Man kommt im Winter definitiv nur mit einem 4x4 dort hin ( wir hatten im Januar zeitweise 30 cm). Ich hatte Angst vor der“Schotterstraße“, habe aber gelernt, dass man bei den Wetterverhältnissen besser auf Schotter als auf einer nicht geräumten Straße fährt. Der Vermieter war sehr fürsorglich und hat uns mehrfach Wetterinfos und Tipps geschickt. Im Haus alles tip top 👍

This cabin is really an authentic and amazing experience. Do be careful on the drive in and out but nothing much more than paying attention to the road! The landscape is absolutely beautiful and what a great place to spend an evening or two outside of the city!
