The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The layout of the house is very nice, there were some toys and games for the kids to play with and a separate TV. We enjoyed the hot tub and the overall space available inside. We were lucky to see an amazing Northern Light show on two different nights!

The house is beautiful and exactly as appears in the photos. Four adult friends stayed at this lovely rural location that is wonderful for a quiet and extremely comfortable stay near all of the beauty of west Iceland. The rooms and hot tub were exceptionally clean and in perfect functioning. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything that we needed. The host provided us with exquisite helpful details, communicated promptly when needed, but also gave us complete privacy. We were able to see the Northern Lights several times from the deck! We all agreed that we would be happy to stay there again. :)

This is our second stay at this lovely home and we enjoyed it just as much this time as we did last year! Thoughtful touches like a full length mirror and makeup mirror as well as everything needed for cooking and very cozy beds. You won't be disappointed!

The place was easy to find with directions and was perfect. The boys and my husband used the hot tub, it was clean and worked well. There was a handy outdoor shower. We are a family of 8 and we fit great. There are plenty of dishes and a nice sized kitchen. We would be happy to stay here again, the house was lovely.

Just an exquisite home -- beautifully designed, clean, and well maintained -- that's in the perfect location for exploring the Snaefellsness Peninsula! It's an easy drive to both the north and south coasts that take you to some of Iceland's most iconic locales. Borganes is an easy 10-minute drive to get provisions. We were a group of seven, including three school-age kids, and the home gave us more than enough room for both private and gathering space, and the kids loved playing outside. The kitchen is well equipped (a must for me -- the cook!), and the hot tub was a welcome amenity at the end of a long day of hiking and exploring. Another sensory bonus is the mountain vista out the front door -- watch for sunsets!

Unhygienische Küchenausstattung zu Hochpreisen

Leider sprechen wir aufgrund der von uns gemachten Erfahrung keine Empfehlung aus! Wir hatten diese hochpreissige Unterkunft (Nacht ca. 400) für 4 Nächte gebucht, in dem Glauben einen hohen Standard zu buchen. Vor Ort stellten wir am ersten Abend leider fest, dass wir weder die Pfannen benutzen, noch auf den Grill ausweichen konnten, da diese so verschmutzt waren, das sie nicht benutzt werden konnten. Das selbe galt leider für den Backofen und Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, etc. (Fotos, dass wir nicht übertreiben zur Verdeutlichung anbei). Der erste Abend war somit mit Essenumplanung (wir hatten uns ja auch bewusst diese Unterkunft ausgesucht, weil wir gemütlichen zusammen kochen/grillen und in Ruhe genießen wollten) verdorben. Die Vermieter haben uns dann lediglich um 21.00 UHR (viel zu spät um dann noch mit dem Essen zu beginnen!) zwei Pfannen vorbei gebracht und uns angeboten, am nächsten Tag die Wohnung reinigen lassen. Sie haben es leider nicht verstanden, dass wir im Urlaub, an den wenigen Tagen und bei diesem gebuchten Standard keine Lust hatten, uns nach Reinigungspersonal zu richten und ein Abend von den vier mit Ärger und nicht Nutzen können geprägt war. Nach Hin und her und viel Schweigen seitens der Vermieter wurde uns eine geringe Erstattung zugesagt, die auch nach Wochen nicht bezahlt worden ist. Das Haus ist räumlich sehr großzügig, wenn auch an einigen Stellen "in die Jahre" gekommen (teilweise kaputte Möbel, Whirlpoolbeleuchtungund und Funktion nicht komp

Perfectly Comfortable Home

Coming from the US, we were pleasantly surprised to find this home had everything we have at home, making for a comfortable stay. House is spacious, clean and has ample room for 5-6 people. A peaceful setting with tons of privacy, great views too. Host was responsive to any question we had. Would absolutely stay here again and HIGHLY recommend!

Amazing First Iceland Trip

We are a group of five friends who planned this trip almost two years ago. We had to pick off season due to our schedules. The weather/wind in Iceland was the worst it has been in 10 years, and we briefly lost power. Our host brought us a generator, coffee, pastries, and kept us updated every step. They checked in on us often and responded immediately to any questions or concerns. They have a very detailed book on property with instructions for everything. The house is amazing and stayed warm even when we didn't have power. It's beautiful, perfectly cozy, and well equipped for all that you could need. The town of Borganes was nearby and we loved being away from the big crowds. I loved Iceland so much, everyone was friendly and the environment is second to none. I can't wait to come back, and I would absolutely choose this host again!

Comfortable remote stay in Iceland!

My family stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our holiday Iceland trip from the states. The host had great communication and was very prepared with check in and home instructions. The place was very clean and we felt very comfortable during our stay. We only wished we stayed a little longer to be able to see all the sights in the area. Would definitely recommend renting this home for an experience outside of the city.

Beautiful Peaceful Home

We were very comfortable in this beautiful home outside of Borgarnes. Away from the city lights, we were able to relax and enjoy the northern lights from the comfort of the hot tub! The home is in a great location for exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and is well appointed with everything we needed! The hosts are very responsive and communicated promptly when I had a question. Would come back and stay in this lovely home!

Beautiful Holiday Home
