"Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"Loved this accomodation. Everything is spotless! Gorgeous location and the twinkling fairy lights and campfires created such a gorgeous atmosphere at nighttime. Wish I didn’t have to rush off early, but will be back! Thank you to Billy and the team. Highly recommend."

"What a beautiful location! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were all so freindly and helpful, especially the extremely polite dark haired gentleman at the bar when we arrived. He took the trouble to show me to the room and explained everything. The breakfast was also very good, great choice and lovely to sit with a view of the Abbey. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend."

"A great location for visiting the coast which was quiet considering how close it was to a main road. A lovely clean room with all necessary features. The breakfast was good. I would stay there again."

"There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors. We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat. "Esta muy apartado del centro. Pero al lado de la estación de St Leonard Warrior. Una zona no muy buena. El hotel es más como una pensión. Aparentemente parece que está bien. Pero luego una vez allí se nota la falta de mantenimiento y personal. La habitación normal. El agua de la ducha sin presión. La cama bien. La tele no funcionaba bien. Tiene un patio muy mono. El desayuno normal. Lo mejor sin duda el recepcionista Francisco, como no, español. Muy caro para lo que es. No repetiría. "

"The grounds are stunning with so much potential but it feels very much a work in progress. We used paddle boards on the lake, which was fab but an additional charge on top of a very expensive room. The sauna wasn’t quite up to heat, we stoked the wood burning hot tub for a dip, tried the lake to cool off and the cold plunge was unfortunately empty. The room was nice and clean. I booked the junior suite but ended up getting a suite. It didn’t feel any more special than a deluxe room elsewhere...

"This is definitely not a 4 star hotel! It is over priced. The rooms are small as is the shower room. The hotel needs updating. It is expensive and definitely don't book breakfast. We were not asked what we would like for a cooked breakfast. Instead this was placed in front of us within 2 minutes of us sitting down! It had been sitting around and definitely not cooked to order. The tables weren't laid. Instead you had to get your own cutlery etc. There were a few teabags and small kettle. The...

"Una sorpresa muy agradable. Es el primer hotel en UK que considero limpio. Normalmente la limpieza es muy superficial. Aqui todo perfecto y organizado. Comodo y con detalles inesperados. Recomendable."

"I phoned to upgrade my room no available rooms so I asked to cancel for a full refund which they agreed and I never received my money back.. very un helpful and very hard to contact a human on the phone.. not recommended in any shape or form.."

"Clean and well-maintained property in a great location. The staff were very helpful, especially with advice on parking in the nearby streets. The breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked to order, and served in a lovely breakfast room. Highly recommended!"
