Amplio, agradable apartamento en el centro de Burdeos

Hemos pasado unos días en este apartamento a mediados de agosto. El apartamento es amplio, muy cómodo para 4 personas, y tiene todo lo necesario para hacer la estancia agradable. El aire acondicionado funciona muy bien y es fundamental, ya que es un ático. Tiene una plaza de aparcamiento (precio razonable, 10€ al día); el acceso es un poco “trucoso” (la anchura es limitada) pero definitivamente es un plus. La situación es muy buena, el barrio de Chartrons es muy agaradable y se puede llegar al centro de Burdeos andando con total facilidad (10-15 minutos de paseo por los muelles paralelos al río). Si estás en domingo, hay un mercado justo enfrente del piso que es imprescindible visitar (y comprar fruta, verdura, pescado, rosette de Lyon,...) Hay supermercados cerca, restaurantes agradables, ... Chez Dupont merece una visita (nosotros hicimos dos). Como puntos que hacen que no le de 5 estrellas: las camas son un poco pequeñas (no hay problemas de espacio, podrían ser más anchas y sobre todo más largas) y, sobre todo, la cocina es incómoda de usar: la placa vitrocerámica es pequeña (media placa), tiene solamente dos fuegos y además está situada en una esquina, con lo que el acceso y manejo es mejorable. Esto es una pena, sobre todo porque el apartamento es muy amplio y podía haberse situado fácilmente en un emplazamiento más cómodo (cabe perfectamente una placa entera). Es difícil cocinar algo que no sea muy básico. También el frigorífico podía ser un poco más grande (de nuevo hay espacio de sobra). En conjunto, estamos muy contentos con nuestra elección del apartamento, con sus limitaciones antes descritas repetiríamos si volvemos a Burdeos y lo recomendaría sin duda.

We had an amazing stay at Bérénice’s beautiful apartment next to the Garonne River. We had a warm welcome upon arrival and a wonderful quiet place to relax in Bordeaux. It is situated in a charming neighborhood with restaurants, tram service and grocery nearby as well as a local market across the street on Sundays. The apartment is nicer and even larger than the photos convey and we loved living as Bordeaux locals for the week. I would highly recommend this VRBO if you are able to find an opening. The personal engagement from Bérénice and her team made this such a lovely experience.

We loved the apartment with a beautiful view of the river and the cruise ships! The Sunday market is beyond spectacular and right out the front door. The beds were comfy and everything we needed was provided. It was very convenient to have a parking space (at a small additional charge) but be warned you must be driving a very small car to take advantage of this amenity. Would highly recommend a stay with Bérénice!

This property is fantastic! Berenice was so accommodative of us getting in a little early, allowing us to drop our bags off a few hours before check-in. The layout of the apartment is very nice and the has a wonderful charm to it with the stone walls. But the best things about the place is location and the view. The view is spectacular, and we so enjoyed sitting on the terrace sipping wine and enjoying views of the river, especially at night. The neighborhood is also fantastic, we never had to take a taxi to go to eat, everything you need is all right there.We will definitely come back!

From the moment we first met Berenice in the doorway of her wonderful apartment in the charming Chartrons district, we knew we had picked the perfect place for our two week stay in Bordeaux. The river view from the penthouse terrace was magnificent, and the apartment was exactly as described on the VRBO website. Everything we needed was in place and ready, and Berenice was always available to answer our questions or provide local advice on nearby bakeries, grocery stores, restaurants, and shops. We recommend this apartment without reservation; you will be pleased! Chapeau and thanks to Berenice and Georges for their wonderful hospitality.

Exceptional Stay in Bordeaux

Needed a place to stay between trips. What a find. Spacious, had all the appliances we needed (including washer and dryer), roomy bathroom, overlooked the Garonne River. and was located amongst lots of restaurants and shops. Even had a nearby tram stop. Additionally, our host went out of her way to make us comfortable with the features of the apartment and answer our questions about Bordeaux. Superb!

It is a beautiful apartment with plenty of space. Very well stocked with anything you may need or have forgotten. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The view of the river from the terrace is spectacular.

Great location and great view

The host is very nice to help us since the moment we checked in. She responded quickly and make our stay worry free. The apartment is in the great neighborhood, Chartrons and very close (walking distance) to the downtown. We love our stay!

Outstanding View and Exceptional Host

The apartment is right on the river with a wonderful rooftop view. It's in a perfect spot in the heart of Bordeaux. There are restaurants, historic sites, and shopping all within easy walking distance. The host provided a wonderful information booklet in both French and English. She gave us a wonderful introduction to the room, the amenities and the city. She was a very warm and helpful person and was incredibly helpful with every aspect of our visit. We absolutely recommend the accommodations and the host. She truly is a Super Host.

Superb!

If you are going to Bordeaux this is the apartment to stay in. We were there for 7 days so seen most areas of the city and this was in the best location, not too far from the Centre and there is a lovely square just behind with lots of restaurants. The apartment has beautiful views of the river, cannot fault it and am currently recommending to friends. Berenice is a great host and the apartment was spotless, comfortable and large. If only all holidays lets could be like this!

Lovely location

The apartment was nicely located to walk to the sights we wanted to see in the city. The host of the property is extremely organized regarding local interests, food and wine. An amazing apartment

What a fabulous place - it's even better than we imagined. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, wonderful views, quiet yet close to everything. The attention to detail is incredible - including the different coloured towels so each guest knows which is theirs. Berenice provides great information on what to do and communication was fast and clear. It really is a luxurious place and we can't wait to return.

Our 5 night stay in this apartment has been wonderful! We cannot fault a thing! Super comfy, clean beds. Wonderful host

We had a wonderful stay at Bérénice's apartment. She was a terrific host and even gave us recommendations for the next part of our trip in Pay Basque. The apartment is clean, spacious, and in a terrific location near the tram and lots of restaurants. Highly recommend.
