Magnifique établissement au calme et de charme
Très bel hôtel sur tous les points avec tout ce qu'il faut pour passer de bons moments. Belle piscine, sauna et hammam fermés pour cause de Covid19. Ne manque que la climatisation qui serait appréciable dans les chambres par fortes chaleurs.

The location and staff are amazing. The facilities are nice. The breakfast is delicious...as is all the food in the restaurant. The rooms are sizable, but don't have central air - so your relying on the wonderful air from outside to freshen things or cool the room (in the summer that can be tough). The bathrooms could use some re-design, but what they lack in beauty they make up for in function.

Eine Reise wert
Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel, tolles Ambiente, sehr zuvorkommendes, aufmerksames und nettes Personal. Tolle Aussicht auf den Rhein. Zimmer und Bäder etwas in die Jahre gekommen, dennoch völlig in Ordnung. Sehr gutes und umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet welches wie die Benutzung der Minibar im Preis enthalten ist. Empfehlenswert.

Zag er heel authentiek uit. De vitrines binnen waren prachtig. De kamer was ruim en schoon. De Tv was niet fijn heel veel storend beeld en geluid, douche gaf in de nacht bij thuiskomst bijna geen druppel water en ijskoud.

Spa und Zimmer sind sehr schön und modern. Das Schwimmbad bedarf einer Renovierung, ist aber noch vollkommen ok. Das Frühstück kann man noch gut im Hotel genießen, fürs Abendessen gilt diese Empfehlung explizit nicht. Dies ist sehr schade, weil man nur mit dem Auto zum nächst gelegenen Restaurant kommt. Der Unterschied zwischen „Der Jakob“ und „Waidblick“ ist selbst den Mitarbeitern nicht verständlich und existiert de facto räumlich nicht. Die Website ist hier auch nicht hilfreich. Wir wurden an unseren Platz gebracht und dann erstmal 20 Minuten nicht bedient, bis wir gefragt haben, wer für uns zuständig ist. Das wechselte letztlich den ganzen Abend und der Service wurde nie gut. Die Rechnung bestellen funktioniert überhaupt nicht, mehrere Tische sind daran nach mehrfachen Aufforderungen verzweifelt. Wir sind nach zwei Aufforderungen und 15 Minuten warten einfach selber zur Kasse gegangen, eine Katastrophe - vor allem bei den A La Carte Preisen. Zudem mischt sich Abends ein „All-Inclusive“ Buffet Publikum - mit der entsprechenden Lautstärke und teilweise auch Benehmen - mit den A la Carte Gästen.

Wir sind jederzeit für unsere Gäste da. Im Nachhinein ist es natürlich immer schwierig, Unstimmigkeiten und Missverständnisse zu klären. Der Jakob ist räumlich von unserem Hauptrestaurant Waidblick abgegrenzt und zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass unsere Köche hier speziell für Sie Mehrgangmenüs (bis zu 8 Gänge) nach Vorreservierung zubereiten. Warum unser Personal Ihnen dies nicht erklären konnte, ist uns allerdings ein Rätsel, zumal der Jakob sichtbar abgetrennt und mit einem großen Logo gekennzeichnet ist. Wir werden diesen Umstand umgehend prüfen. Für Ihre Erlebnisse beim Abendessen möchten wir uns natürlich aufrichtig entschuldigen. Es entspricht nicht unserem Standard, dass der Service nicht zufriedenstellend ist. Unsere geschulten Mitarbeiter arbeiten stets professionell und koordiniert. Selbstverständlich werden wir hier das Gespräch suchen. An dieser Stelle ist es natürlich schade, dass wir nicht wissen, von welchem Datum Sie sprechen. A big hotel with a good feel about it, there’s nothing within walking distance the restaurant is good but not for any one on a budget. The single rooms are a little basic but comfortable and functional and no air con. Staff were very helpful and motorbikes get premium parking right outside reception in very secure courtyard.

Eigenlijk was alles aan dit hotel perfect, behalve de matrassen. Ik voelde de stalen veren. Nieuwe andere matrassen zou dit verblijf 100% tevredenheid hebben opgeleverd. Niettemin graag tot weerziens want werkelijk elke medewerker was tegelijk EEG beleefd én gemeend vriendelijk.

Soggiorno relax vicino a Coblenza
Hotel resort ideale per un weekend o un soggiorno di lavoro, con molto verde attorno. In inverno le saune sono molto confortevoli, due saune tradizionali a temperature differenti, una sauna di vapore e varie docce di diversi tipi. Un bella piscina abbastanza grande per fare nuoto. L'unica differenza rispetto ad altri soggiorni negli anni passati, non fanno più Aufguss nei fine settimana. Ottima prima colazione e ristorante.

Hotel de classe, parfaitement équipé, jouissant d'une position exceptionnelle avec une vue toute aussi exceptionnelle sur les boucles du Rhin. Restaurant avec service, variété et qualité au rendez-vous. Infrastructure piscine/thermes impeccable et très complète, avec accès direct au départ des chambres. Golf hotel with no golf.
We picked the hotel for the golf, but then could not use the course because we were not members, so there was no point being there. The room is well furnished and decorated, but a very sterile and modern design for such a lovely historic building - out of place. Also, the shower is over a high and very narrow bath - not comfortable to get in and out. Breakfast is good and varied, with lovely views, but service is poor - the staff are unattentive (always standing around chatting) and items are not quickly provided or replenished. We waited a while for coffee and cutlery after arriving, and were the only table not to receive a Lindt chocolate gift (the waitress even asked us if we wanted one, which we accepted with thanks, and then never brought it!). Lack of attention to detail.

Schön für Golfer und Wellness
Ein Gutes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal, fast alle Zimmer haben Balkon oder Terrasse, das Essen hat gute Qualität und ist dem Preis angemessen. Es sind in und um das Hotel viel Kunstwerke und der Ausblick auf den Rhein ist fantastisch. Der Wellness Bereich ist groß aber an Regentagen auch gut gefüllt.

Unusual hotel above the Rhine.
This hotel is the strangest German hotel I have ever stayed in. The best thing about the hotel is the great view of the Rhine from the restaurant. The bedroom did not have a view though. However it was very spacious and modern, and had high quality bedding, but the bathroom was very poorly designed. The shower was over the bath but the bath was too narrow to stand in, and bizarrely the loo roll holder could not be reached from the loo! The strangest part of the hotel though is the corridor which is full of exhibits of stuffed African animals and a lion skin, a bit distasteful in my opinion. There are display cases of other items too, for example antique guns and irons, and lots of African art and sculptures. The hotel has some connection with Haribo so there are free sweets in the bar, but on the negative side we found that the barman didn’t ever fill the measure when he was pouring drinks. So our stay was ok, but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel if you want a traditional German experience. If you are after something a little different, then you might like it!

Tolles Hotel zum Entspannen und Geniessen
Wunderbares Umgebautes Kloster mit sehr schönen Zimmern. Der Service war sensationell und es gab überall gratis Haribo's. Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr nett, denn man kann hier wunderbar an den Weinhängen spazieren gehen, oder sich im Spa Bereich entspannen. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und auch in den diversen Restaurants kann man sich abends verwöhnen lassen.

im ersten Anschein alles oK
Zimmer (Standard) war neu eingerichtet und es gab keinerlei Grund zu klagen. Alles sauber und adrett. Das Bad dazu war dann allerdings keine 2 Sterne wert. In eine enge Badewanne steigen um zu Duschen ist keine gute Option wenn auch noch Griffe fehlen. Dazu schwarze Stellen in den Fugen, fehlende Teile an der Duschstange und eine Beleuchtung über dem Spiegel die wohl noch aus den Anfängen der Elektrifizierung stammt. Das Kippfenster... naja... da kann auch die Putzfrau nichts mehr retten. Raus reißen und den Preis so lange auf unter Standard Niveau halten wäre eine Option. Frühstück, auch nur Standard. Ist im Preis mit drin, könnte aber mit mehr Liebe zubereitet sein. Käsepackung auf, in der Mitte durchschneiden und den Stapel auf einen Teller legen. Im 4 Sterne Hotel erwartet man etwas mehr. Tomaten sind da und Gurkenscheiben auch. Wie wäre es mit Tomatenscheiben und Mozarella? Ein paar Salate? Frühstücksquark etc.? 5 Tage die 4 gleichen Wurstsorten plus Wurst die man am Stück abschneiden muss aber ja eigentlich nicht anfassen mag. Das Brot und Müsliangebot dagegen super, aber leider am anderen Ende des Saales. Da ist der Frühsport wohl gleich mit dabei. Und wenn es auf der Aussenterrasse mal etwas voller wird muss man elendig lange warten. Da fehlt scheinbar die Routine.

Well situated for anybody exploring that region
Unfortunately my husband suffered a rather nasty accident due to a lack of exterior lighting in certain areas. Walking back to the car park to collect overnight baggage it was very dark with no lighting. As a result my husband tumbled over a large rock which was approximately 2 to 3 feet high. He sustained injuries to his right leg and forehead in the form of deep lacerations and a bruised kneecap, and, broke his glasses. We understand that the rock was probably placed there to prevent car parking, however, as we discovered in the daylight the rock was very dark in colour, and, think this accident could have been prevented if the rock could have been painted white, or that area had some form of subdued lighting. I must add that the reaction of the on-duty receptionist was excellent. She assisted us in returning to our room and providing first aid material. Finally, to add insult to injury when we booked out the reception tried to charge for a bottle wine which we did not have. Also we were informed that,although not available at the time, the Hotel Director would contact us by phone the following day. Still waiting.

etwas Entäuscht bei dieser Kategorie
Ein etwas in die Jahre gekommes Hotel und unserer Meinung könnte man an Freundlichkeit und Serviceleistung noch etwas verbessern. Auch die Aufzüge sind sehr klein und man braucht mehrere um in die verschiedenen Zimmer zu kommen, war für uns etwas verwirrend. Da wir nur auf der Durchreise waren, kann ich nicht mehr über dieses Hotel schreiben. Ziimmer sind sauber und in Ordnung, Bad war bei Superior-Doppelzimmer (Plus), sehr grosszügig mit wenig Ablagemöglichkeit

Wochenendtrip zum Entspannen und genießen + Service in Restaurants und der Bar + Qualität der Speisen + Frühstück (Omlett) + Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen + Zimmer sehr modern und gemütlich Der Wellnessbereich ist sehr schön und sauber, jedoch klein. Für die Wintermonate ist die Anzahl der Liegemöglichkeiten sehr begrenzt. Fûr begeisterte Saunagänger ist die Auswahl an Saunen und die Anzahl der Aufgüsse gering. Für ein bisschen Wellness absolut ausreichend, für ein Wellnesswochenende würde ich es eher nicht empfehlen. Für die Lage im Weingebiet empfand ich die Auswahl an Weinen zwar sehr lecker aber auch gering.
