We had a great stay in Boothbay Harbor it’s such a beautiful area and the Snug Harbor rental is a very comfortable rental in a great location, it could use a little better cleaning here and there and there is very little usable cookware like skillets or oven pans for people like us who do like to cook when we rent a vacation home, everything I mentioned is a relatively easy and inexpensive fix which we mentioned to the management company that we were in contact with about these issues to no active response, I have nothing nice to say about Vacasa they contact you with a bot but never addressed any of our concerns, the property owner should be aware of how non responsive they are.

Pictures are Better Than Reality

The location is great. Having a parking spot is great. The pictures made this appear to be a cozy, quaint cottage. It is very old and dark. The steps to the second floor bedroom are steep but also weirdly short. I mean that you shoe cannot fit on this step. Your toe will hit the riser and your heel hang off the steo as you climb up. Coming down is especially awkward. We arrived at end of May and it was 42F overnight. No one told the management company that the boiler/heater had been removed and was being replaced. The management company kept trying to talk us through how to turn the heat on. I told them to contact the owner to find out how to turn on heat. Finally we went into the basement, discovered the construction site and had to send photos to the Mgt Co to prove it before they would finally contact the owner. Fortunately, another apartment at the front of the building (with heat) was available, and they moved us. The other apartment was very nice, and that's why I will give it 3 instead of 1 star. Overall, the building exterior is in rough shape. Looks like the owner doesn't care.

Great location, needs a little modernization

Great place, quiet despite being close to two businesses. Could not ask for a better location for Boothbay Harbor exploration. Well appointed, cozy and clean. Bathroom and kitchen could use an upgrade. Nothing technically wrong, very clean, just old.

Lovely stay, comfortable and convenient

we enjoyed our stay, comfy rustic furnishings and a leisurely walk to bridge and touristy shops and eateries. Enjoyed our first Oysterfest...Shared parking lot with adjoining and very popular coffee shop. Overall friendly area with great views

Great Location

This is a cute place right in the village. Easy walk across the footbridge to the heart of town. Accommodations are comfortable. And, we highly recommend Mama D’s for breakfast!

Fantastic Stay

The location is absolutely perfect. Easy walk to the footbridge, shops, restaurants, and tour. Easy in with the lock process. Most importantly the honest of the crew that came to clean after we checked out. Found my wallet and I was notified right away. Thank you so much!!

Wonderful weekend getaway

Loved the location! Short walk to downtown with plenty of shops and restaurants along the way. Breakfast steps from the door! Snug Harbor met our need and more. We found it clean, cozy, and had enough space for our toddler.

Perfect location

Great location to walk to town for ice cream or dinner. Longer walk to Barret park or lobster pound. A/c was welcome during this hotter week. Small place. Needs new fry pan. FYI, There is no DW or toaster. But good washer& dryer w/ soap. Luv BBH. sail on the Bay Lady, ferry yo Monhegan island for the day and burnt island on a Thursday. Botanical gardens and railroad village if not hot!!

What a spot!

We had a delightful time at this apartment. It was just big enough for our family of 4 for a long weekend ( would feel cramped for a week though), and the location is fantastic! We walked downtown, across the footbridge multiple times a day. So convenient! The location right next to the harbor made for gorgeous sunset watching. We all love watching the tides come and go, so this spot was heaven. The apartment itself was nautical themed and tastefully decorated. The two pullouts were perfect for us- each kid got their own sleeping space. The deck was a terrific spot for morning coffee and lunch picnics, and the Adirondack chairs made for peaceful reading. We love Boothbay, but had never stayed in town before. It was a total treat!

Accessible to Boothbay Harbor

Attractive cottage with very nice new and antique nautical decor. Asking questions in advance was frustrating: I wrote three times, then called, to inquire about the complimentary sail which was advertised at the time I reserved. I received different answers from Turnkey staff, none accurate. I’ve used VRBO for years and never had this issue. Finally learned that this offer is no longer in effect. I can certainly understand that, but TurnKey should have known. The house photos imply that the cottage is closer to the water than it actually is, and that the small separate waterfront area with two chairs is in a secluded spot rather than right beside the road. Otherwise I recommend this fine property.

Awesome stay

This place was great for our month in Maine! We hiked a lot in the trails near Boothbay and did the 2.5 hour drive to Acadia 4-5 times too. Boothbay was pretty closed down (off season & covid) but there were a couple good places still open, and Mama D’s next door was open on the weekends. The apartment was as listed - it’s a bit smaller than it looks, but was everything we needed. Good wifi for working! Would recommend.
