We had a fantastic stay! All I can say is VIEWS VIEWS VIEWS were beautiful. As a VRBO owner I would only add—- kitchen utensils/appliances could be updated. Knives were extremely dull and crockpot didn’t work. (I would want to know as an owner) Did not affect our stay as we had a fantastic time.

Stunning Views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Highland Mist. Amazing views from the expansive deck along with the cozy and comfortable cabin made this the perfect get away for family. We enjoyed summer adventures at Beech Mountain and Grandfather's Mountain along with delightful local dining and shopping. Blue Ridge Moutain Rentals was very responsive and provided great communication. Looking forward to visiting again!

Breathtaking views

We stayed at Highland Mist for 5 days, and it was everything we were hoping for. The views were amazing. We were able to relax and enjoy each other's company. The winery at the bottom of the hill was lovely and we were able to experience some of the small towns nearby.

Yearly mountain getaway

Wonderful cabin to stay in with the family. Kids were able to sled on the front slope of the property, walk around in the woods behind the house, and have their own personal space. Fantastic views, very private, easy to access. Only downside was that the hot tub wasn’t working and we were unaware until we arrived that it was places out of order. Wished we had known as that’s a big thing for the kids. Could tell it was a rental property as some of the cabinet faces were falling off/off completely, or handles fallen off of dressers. Aside from those very small cosmetic issues and the hot tub, would rent and stay again.

Our stay at Highland Mist, Banner Elk was absolutely perfect! We had 7 incredible nights surrounded of an adorable house, nature and snow. The Vrbo app was convenient and easy to use when making the reservation of this gorgeous house! The management of the property -Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals- answered all our emails and made sure we were happy and all our needs were covered. Quiet Mountain Getaway

Perfect quiet retreat. Our family of 6 jad a wonderful time. We got snowed in one morning till the snow plow came down the road. The weather it quite different than 3 miles down. We really enjoyed the home and thw hiking in the area.

Beautiful View

Great time was had by all, everything was great with the exception of needing some deep cleaning. Cobwebs found and bathroom sink, tub had mildew which required cleaning but cleaning products were present to quickly rectify the situation. Other then that, the place, view, location couldn’t be more perfect.

Beautiful home away from home

This was a wonderful property for our family with three teenagers. The house was very clean and everything we needed to cook dinners and breakfast together was available. The views from the deck were beautiful and the outdoor fireplace was also a nice touch. The kids really loves the hot tub. We will definitely visit this place again!

This was our 2nd year staying at Highland Mist, it is close to downtown Banner Elk while feeling perfectly removed. It is a perfect setup for a family looking for a time together in the mountains of NC!

Wonderful house

We were 3 couples and a baby and had plenty of room to spread out. The house was very clean and comfortable. The view from the deck was spectacular. We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub, the outdoor fireplace and the fire pit. It was also very close to the winery and downtown Banner Elk, which had many restaurant choices. I would recommend as a first choice if your looking for a mountain get away.

Would stay again

The house is beautiful. The kitchen was furnished with so many extras. Very spacious loved the big yard. We used all amenities this house offered. We only had one draw back but I’m not sure it’s with the house. This is the second time we have stayed with Vrbo/blue ridge mountain rentals and the houses are not clean upon arrival. I just cleaned myself as we didn’t want anyone coming in once we had arrived. The master shower curtain needs to be replaced and the mold in bathroom needs to be cleaned. All in all we loved the house.

Lovely 🏔views

Highland Mist is a very special property. The sunsets from the deck are truly magnificent and the peaceful seclusion of the property is an introvert’s dream! Though it is kind of “tucked away” you are not far from downtown Banner Elk or Beech Mountain. Visiting with the neighboring cows and watching the deers roam through the yard was so relaxing. Would definitely stay again.
