Wonderful Stay!

We highly recommend Kick App View! The house was clean and even better than what we read on the listing! Close to skiing, tubing, and alpine coaster. Beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain.

Fun family Christmas

We really enjoyed staying at the cabin over the holidays. Our older kids got to try skiing for the first time - we were so close to the ski hill, great location. The house fit the 6 of us just perfectly. and the hot tub was a welcome relaxation at the end of the day.The cabin was very well equipped, which we appreciated. And fun games to play too.All in all, it was a delightful time. Highly recommend!

Absolutely lovely

Everything about our stay here was wonderful: The view was phenomenal—the trees had just started turning and each morning they were more vibrant than the day before. The cabin even looks out over Grandfather Mountain! What a treat! We found the home well provided for, plenty of dishes and utensils to eat and cook with, abundant towels and comfortable furniture and beds. We arrived barely two weeks after Hurricane Helene, so were unable to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway as we had planned. So we stayed in the cabin for a week, and loved every minute. It was clean, comfortable, lovely and stocked well enough to feel like home. As a treat, the day before we left, they opened a small part of the Blue Ridge Parkway just south of the cabin so we were able to travel about 20 miles on the Parkway anyway. Our heart goes out the the people of NC who have suffered and lost so much from Helene. We had originally wondered if we should even come to NC and our hosts explained that what NC needs now is commerce—people to come and financially support the local needs of these communities. We are so glad we came!

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely 2 weeks at Kick App View. The view was amazing! There was everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen and the downstairs suite was a plus. My only suggestion is to get softer pillows. That was the only complaint. The hot tub was awesome! We will be back!! Thank you for letting us enjoy your lovely home.

Mountain oasis

Our family rented the property for a few nights and loved it. The views are gorgeous and the furnishings very comfortable. Lots of nice details (info book, toilettries, gas fire place and hot tub. Do plan for snow as they suggest. We woke to it in early April! For us it was a nice surprise because we planned for lazy days around the house but the location is high up a steep, twisty hill so their recommendation for snow tires until mid-April isn't an exaggeration. We like trying new places each time we travel but would make an exception to stay here again when we return to the area.

Family Weekend

We had a family of 4 with an additional friend and her son join us. The house was perfect and kid friendly, the beds were comfortable, the owners have the house set up perfectly for 2 families. The views were great, the hot tub was a hit. Box fans in the bedrooms were great for sleep. Would love to rent from them again!

Thanksgiving family get away

4 adults snd 2 children stayed in the home for Thanksgiving week. Bedrooms were comfortable and perfect for us. The home is spacious and had everything we needed and more. Loved the ease of the fireplaces, the hot tub, kids loved the foosball game and liked being on the screened porch. Views of Grandfather Mountain are perfect. We easily visited Boone, Banner Elk, and nearby playgrounds for the kids are great! Loved our stay.

Brothers and Sisters trip

Four siblings and our spouses met at this VRBO from different parts of the country and had a great time! The house is clean, nicely decorated, and very well stocked just as described with hot tub, grill, two porches, two living areas with fireplaces, and ping pong and other games. It has a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain, and is convenient to Boone, Linville, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. We would consider it again if visiting the area.

Mother/Daughters Get Away

My sisters and I take our mom on a trip every year. Tweetsie Ghost Train was our plan this year. Kick App View was our perfect home away from home. Wonderful home with lovely furnishings and an outstanding view. By far our best girls trip ever!!!

Our group of friends really enjoyed staying at Kick App. We enjoyed the deck, view, and hot tub. The kitchen was great and well stocked. Bed linens and towels were good quality. There was nothing missing and we would highly recommend. Location was good too.

Amazing Property!

This is probably the best place we have ever stayed. It was impeccably clean and had everything and anything we needed including numerous start up supplies (TP, paper towels, soap, trash bags, dishwashing tablets, etc.). We felt like we were in someone's home, not just a rental. I loved the books on the shelves and tables, all the decor, and the pictures. Our king bed was incredibly comfortable. On the nightstand there was even a little cube that had USB plugs and regular plugs that came in very handy. There were two scrap books that contained information regarding check out, local rules, and tons of pamphlets with things to do and see in the area. We had a blast playing ping pong and foosball. We also played some of the other games that were there. The labels for all the light switches were extremely helpful. The attention to detail regarding what vacationers would need was outstanding. Our first night we went out on the balcony about 3:30 am to watch the Perseid meteor shower; it was perfect viewing up in high country!

Fantastic late summer getaway

Amazing quiet house with beautiful view. Stayed for 4 nights and rarely left the property. Bed was really comfortable, tvs in every room with lots of streaming options, kitchen was best stocked of any I have ever stayed in. We cooked most meals rather than go out! Drive up and driveway is pretty steep angle so if we return in colder months we definitely would need 4WD. It’s clear the owners of this home love it and we did too. I have stayed in several rentals and something is always broken, missing, or needs a lightbulb or batteries. Not here - every detail was accurate and these owners have thought of everything The fresh air, Grandfather mountain in the distance and a million stars at night was just what we needed to recharge.

Well equipped

This is a clean well equipped rental with beautiful views in a quiet neighborhood. It had everything needed plus a well stocked kitchen. It’s in a great location not too far from all of the area attractions. My husband, kids, and I stayed in the 3 bedrooms on the main floor and my mother-in-law had her own area downstairs with her own living space and kitchenette. It’s a great floor plan for extended family.

The BEST getaway
